She ensured my partner was picked up from the hospital promptly and treated with the utmost respect every step of the way. I have witnessed cremations in the past, but the level of care shown this time was profoundly moving. After weeks in the hospital, my partner’s beard was untrimmed and his hair unkempt, yet the staff took the time to gently groom him—trimming his beard, combing his hair, and restoring some color to his face. Their attention to these details meant more to me than I can fully express. I hadn’t seen him without a mask or an intubation tube in weeks, and because of their care, I was able to see him one last time looking peaceful and like the big, strong man I loved. That final image is a gift I will always carry with me. The Downtown location was very nice and had ample off-street parking with accessibility. They also worked smoothly in conjunction with Mid-America Transplant to honor our dad's donor wishes.
