Scariest place in the world for rehab and for nursing home! Staff is untrained. Most nurses are traveling nurses( High pay rate and don't have affinity for the patients!)
Taylor (social worker admin) not helpful.
We filled out paperwork several times. Finally, sent it to the state our self. Nurses left our mom on toilet and disappeared leaving her alone with broken arm and knee. She was unable to walk by herself. She fell off the toilet. Spoke to the head nurse nothing happened. So Dangerous. Our mother fell and broke her hip on their watch. Scary Scary should be no stars except the ones floating above the patients heads from fall and lack of attention.

* They over medicated the patient. 3 weeks before the Dr's would call us back needed to talk about he dosage.
* Patients was not bathed for 1.5 weeks, asked serval time they finally gave the patient a sponge bath.
* Patient was left in spoiled diaper for hours.
* Lost the patients Clothing, Denture, hearing aids while patient was heavily sedated. Did not care.
* Had call light on for over an hour had to find a nurse to help.
* no care on weekends.
* The amount of money we spent on this facility, the neglect, unprofessionalism and lack of organization, was very apparent.
* please have an advocate to help the patient or yourself.
* Patient's are not the priority, We had to ask for rehab. Ina treatment center.
* No organization, or skilled workers.
* Look for a different rehab that has treatment plan and skilled physical therapist.

FIRST REVIEW SOMEHOW DISAPPEARED - One star is one too many! They prolonged my bedridden fathers suffering to allow the POA to financially take advantage of him and his estate. A private investigator in Texas with extensive elder law experience was very much involved in the abuse. At the time of his passing he had open infected wounds down to the bones of his heels, no working phone in his room, not allowed hospice or proper pain management and was begging for help. D'youville did not have my loved ones best interest in mind. Will be watching to see if this disappears too, lol. Like I said, PI involved...glad google sends proof of posts!

Please..please...please. keep up with everything in this nursing home. The management, head nurse and social workers need to be re-trained on why they work in this field. There is no compassion..no support..and to question anything, will get you no where. Even though there is not enough workers and nurses. This nursing home/re- hab keeps taking in clients they neglect and are not able to comply with their needs. They get left in wet diapers or bms. When a client has an appointment, they get turned away for the nursing home not following protocols. Their is so much to this place that is wrong. Except for the kind sweet and helpful nurses and Pt. Who truly want to help. Please..clean out management..the head nurse and new social worker's. You can file a complaint..but the clients are afraid of being kicked out if they try to get their rightful care they deserve. Nobody should have to be afraid. So, please watch your family that you may put in this home.

My husband had Alzheimer's at 58 yo. When he first arrived here, it was great. Then, they started leaving him in a wheelchair for 12 hours a day (he could not move) and he developed a stage 4 pressure ulcer. Stage 4 ulcers are neglect! They ignored him. Never spoke to him. Never changed him. Put a pad over a wet bed. Let the Hoyer pad air dry of urine instead of washing. Treated me horrendously because I was angry about the ulcer and care! Who would not be angry if their loved one was sitting dirty in a chair 12 hours a day and developed a stage 4 ulcer!! I went to visit and the pillow was over his head!! He was sweating and horrified! No one saw this?! His room was the first door beside the nurses station! Yes, he was dying. Yes, he could not talk; however, he could hear. Who could wash a resident, feed a resident, put them to bed and never speak to them? Nursing homes in Maine are getting hard to find, but let me tell you, I would find a way to keep your loved one home where they can be loved and properly cared for! I lived 3 hours away and work full time, however, I would visit 2-3x a week so I did see A LOT BAD! Putting in a complaint did nothing! Management? There is none. The CNAs control the floor. NO, I WOULD NOT PUT MY LOVED ONE AT THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. They are mean, inconsiderate and neglect AND borderline abuse the residents! My husband died of sepsis from this end-stage pressure ulcer and not a person cared!!!! Another day for them! Disgusting! The nursing home did not send their condolences. The day he died, the nurse supervisor didn't even talk to me! Bad, bad management! There was one nurse I thought the world of. However, she got hurt and was out for a long time. I wouldn't blame her if she retired. I cannot imagine working in these conditions! I work in this field, and I was disgusted! Please try to stay away from here! Please! Don't let neglect and abuse continue in the elderly or disabled! The State of Maine need to get it together! Help OUR DISABLED RESIDENTS FIRST!
