Bayshire Rancho Mirage

Very clean facility. Conscientious employees. Peaceful environment. I was visiting a friend in the rehab section and she is very happy there.

This place should be closed for elder abuse. I’ve about had enough of the incompetence and criminal activity that takes place at Bayshire Rancho Mirage. The staff and residents steal and lie when confronted. The so-called “med techs” (teenagers with no credentials) steal medicines and lie when asked why they haven’t received medications. My father has gone on for over a week without receiving his medications and had to threaten legal action to receive them. Issues with other daily needs are constantly ignored. My father regularly goes without meals because servers refuse to serve him. The so-called “caregivers” (if you can even call them that) move his items around his room so he can’t find his things (he is almost completely blind). The laundry gives his clothes to other residents. Call this place what you want, but it is not a skilled nursing facility: they are incapable of meeting Maslow’s basic hierarchy of needs for many of their residents, let alone providing medical care. This place has turned an otherwise very nice and calm man into a very angry human being. The management is grossly under-qualified to be running a facility such as this - Jimmy Stewart does not possess the credentials or compassion required to perform his job, and cares not at all about the well-being of the residents who live under his care. Scott Kirby, if you’re reading this: purge your staff and hire qualified people who care, or get out of this business altogether. You should be ashamed of what’s going on in the facility of which you claim to be proud.

My family and I’s time here was amazing. The staff treated us as though we were family. Highly recommended if you have a loved one who requires physical rehab.

I loved this facility. The staff was very friendly. They had a lot of activities for the patients and let guests be involved with those activities. Patients could go outside if they wanted. They were able to have some independence which kept morale up. This place was great.

Employees are very polite and pleasant. I find them eager to please and assist. The facility is very clean. My only complaint had been the noise in my friend’s. room when the staff were helping the neighbor. When someone is trying to sleep respect suggest acknowledging that by lowering voices. Also I could never be a patient there because of the TVs being on. Again the neighbors. That could be an easy fix if the TVs came with a headset. Not everyone wants a tv on all the time. I would prefer to look at a fireplace or electronic fish. However I’m sure my friend is very happy with his treatment and the respect shown him I gave the evaluation from my point of view.
