I am truly grateful to Katie and the whole team at Dokken-Nelson for helping me with my mother's passing. They were exceptionally caring, personable and informative about the process of funererial services. We chose to have our memorial celebration at their chapel and reception area which worked out perfectly and seamlessly because of Katie and her team: from helping make the best memorial video, to handling the food and celebration day. Her patience and guidance was a relief and godsend during the most difficult time. So thank you! And I couldn't recommend them more.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Dokken Nelson who came alongside my Dad and our family and gave us such amazing support and guidance and comfort in the days following my Mom’s passing. They gently led us thru every decision that needed to be made and helped us put all the details for mom’s funeral service together with attention to every detail. They helped us with all the logistics from planning the service to getting the church programs printed to sending obituaries to hometown newspapers to delivering Jimmy John sandwiches to the church after the service. I would like our community to know what an amazing resource we have here when the unspeakable loss of a family member happens. My husband and I are very grateful to have worked with Dokken Nelson Funeral Home through the loss of my husband's mother. Neither of us had planned a funeral and burial before and would have been pretty lost without their help. They stepped in so quickly and were available 24/7 with all our questions and planning. They made everything SO much easier. They are experienced and flexible and offer so many choices. Their guidance was invaluable - from the pre-planning to the logistics of holding the funeral and the reception. They never pushed more than we wanted and were willing to go as big or basic as we wanted. I'm not sure we have ever worked with any company that was so responsive and kind and compassionate. We truly don't know how we would have managed it all without them. While every staff person was amazing we most closely worked with Chris and he was just the BEST and so appreciated. We highly recommend their services. When the unfortunate time comes to need their services in the future, we will not hesitate to call them!

Eventually we will all need the services as provided by Dokken-Nelson. I cannot speak more highly of their entire team. Initially I brought my daddy's ashes from another state and they facilitated having Parting Stones made. And upon my mother's death most recently, they provided great comfort and care to me. The help provided through live streaming also gave my mom's friends and families in WV the opportunity to watch and collectively grieve with us. Bailey has been a real gem to work with directly.
