Park Vista Health Center provided outstanding care for my mother. My mom has been to Park Vista twice now for over 4 months total. The nurses and CNA's are attentive, kind and committed to their patients' well-being. They were very good with the restrictions she had & keeping up with her medications. Additionally, the physical and occupational therapists were absolutely phenomenal. They were patient, encouraging, and tailored the rehabilitation specifically to her pace, helping her regain her independence. Roger made sure her TV was working each night so that she wouldn't miss a Dodger game. The facility is very well maintained. The building is always clean, bright and comfortable. I spent a lot of time there and felt very welcomed by the staff. We felt at ease when we left her for the night knowing she was being taken care of. Thank you to all the staff for helping in my mothers recovery!!

I stumbled upon this building by chance and asked around the hospital where my friend was recovering. Everyone knew of the building and everyone agreed it’s a top choice for care. I was warned often that they rarely have beds, but if I call and tour, I had a higher chance of getting my friend accepted. They were right. My friend recovered there for a few weeks and throughout her stay she would tell me- she wished she could stay. She enjoyed therapy, food, and nursing. When I would visit, I would see how the staff interacted with others, and it made me feel happy knowing when I leave, my friend was cared for. I would recommend this health site.

Park Vista is one of the nicest skilled nursing communities I have visited.
The staff is very kind and caring. Compared to other communities I have visited, this community has fewer residents assigned to each caregiver and so the residents receive prompt response when needed.
Park Vista offers many activities to keep their residents engaged and maintain their cognitive function. A friend of mine is in this community and I have seen the Activities Professionals intentionally engage my friend with unique activities that meet her needs, even when she is bed bound. I have regularly seen them go the extra mile to make sure their residents feel valued and appreciated
This skilled nursing community is always clean, sanitary and well staffed with caregivers and yet it doesn't feel like a hospital, it feels like a home.

Lovely staff and very helpful as well. They treated my loved one with the most respect she deserved. I turned to Park Vista when I could not balance working a full time job and caring for my loved one. They truly made her feel right at home and supported. Will definitely recommend to others looking for care.

My husband came to here after he had a stroke. He could not walk well and had heart and kidney problems. This was a very hard time for our family.
The front office staff and kitchen staff were kind and helpful. They treated us well. My husband did improve overall, and I am thankful for their care.
We were sad about our experience with the walking therapist at the fitness gym. After a stroke, it is common for patients to feel tired and unmotivated. My husband struggled with motivation. Instead of kindness and patience, we felt she did not try to understand him or show empathy. Being caring and supportive is very important when helping stroke patients, and it makes a real difference in recovery.
This facility helps both assisted living patients and patients who are not in assisted living. We were told by staff that assisted living patients may get more priority. We also observed that assisted living patients seemed to receive more careful and specialized therapy, many of whom were less cooperative than my husband. This felt unfair. We were paying customers and hoped for the same care and attention.
After more time passed and my husband continued recovery through other therapies, he shared that his stroke affected his willingness to try. He said he received very little praise or encouragement from this therapist, while he saw her encourage other patients. This was hurtful for us.
After discharge, he was able to walk again, but it required support from other therapists at a different facility who took the time to work with him, even when he was difficult or unmotivated. If someone struggles with motivation, which is very common after a stroke, it is essential for a rehab therapist to have patience and empathy. And… If a therapist cannot work with patients who struggle with motivation, it raises the question of why they would work in rehab, especially in a leadership role.
We truly thank the other workers who helped us. But I hope Park Vista provides additional training on compassion and emotional support, because this is extremely important for patients and their families, whether or not they are assisted living residents
