We cannot say enough about the care and compassion we received from Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary during one of the most difficult times in our lives. From the moment we reached out—while our mom was still with us—Al and his team guided us with such kindness, patience, and professionalism. They helped us thoughtfully prepare in advance, which brought us a sense of peace and comfort we didn’t even know was possible during such an emotional time. After our mom passed, every detail was handled with dignity and respect, allowing our family to focus on honoring her and supporting one another. Al and his team truly went above and beyond our expectations. Their genuine care, empathy, and attention to detail made all the difference. We are incredibly grateful for the support they provided and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of these services.

My family has trusted Bueler Mortuary for over 40 years, caring for multiple generations with compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, our recent experience was very different. After my grandfather passed, we chose Bueler’s out of loyalty. Initially, the director was kind, but his demeanor changed noticeably when I explained we would only be arranging a basic cremation and not a full service. Communication became poor, we received no updates and had to repeatedly follow up just to find out when my grandfather’s cremains would be ready. Each interaction felt cold and impersonal. While another staff member was more helpful, the overall tone lacked the compassion you would expect during such a difficult time. When we picked up my grandfather’s cremains, we were met at the entrance and not even brought into a private area to be given the urn. His cremains were placed in a plastic urn inside a paper gift bag. While we understood that we selected a basic option and would have a plastic urn, the handling and presentation felt careless. I was not prepared for the weight and nearly dropped the urn, which was very upsetting at such a sensitive moment. Every family, regardless of the services they choose, deserves kindness, respect, and clear communication. We were honoring my grandfather’s wishes, and it should not have resulted in feeling dismissed or less valued. I hope this feedback encourages a return to the level of care and compassion Bueler Mortuary was once known for.

In October, I contacted Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary to discuss pre-planning services for my parents. I spoke with Ruben Damian who was helpful, kind and easy to talk to. I live out of state and after my conversation with Ruben I felt confident my parents would be well cared for when we needed their services. In December, my mom passed away just after midnight. I called to notify of my mom’s passing. A young man, I think his name was Dom, came to pick up my mom. He was kind, gentle and caring. My mom was wrapped in a beautiful blue satin-like cloth and she looked like an angel. The facility was clean, warm and welcoming. As a family we were able to spend the time we needed with my mom. I am so thankful I had completed the pre-planning which helped everything go smoothly at such a difficult time. I would absolutely recommend Whitney & Murphy Bueler. I know when my dad passes he will receive the same respectful care.
