I recently hired them for our company’s Thanksgiving luncheon, and our experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the very first call, the owner, Elizabeth, and her team were phenomenal—asking thoughtful, detailed questions to truly understand and deliver on our vision. We wanted the event to feel on theme for Thanksgiving but be a bit more elevated and sophisticated, avoiding the foods that everyone typically eats on the actual holiday. The Catering Company quickly delivered a creative menu that met our criteria and worked closely with us to fine-tune every detail, remaining incredibly accommodating of all food restrictions, allergies, and palates. The service was truly "A to Z," covering everything from the linens, silverware, and plates to the food, the service, the wine, and even a custom specialty drink created specifically for our event. As someone who regularly dines at Michelin-starred and high-end 5-star establishments, I can honestly say the service was on par with those experiences. The servers were impeccably attentive, immediately clearing used items and ensuring the food was constantly replenished and perfectly warmed. The presentation was tasteful and elegant, and the food tasted even better than it looked. I have high standards and it’s not often that a company exceeds my expectations, but The Catering Company truly managed to raise the bar. What impressed me most was how they handled our diverse staff of omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans. They ensured there was a great mix of items so everyone was well taken care of, making the vegan and vegetarian options just as delicious and varied as the rest of the menu. Throughout the luncheon, Elizabeth and her team were friendly and social, making sure every guest felt special and at home. They made the entire afternoon feel easy and effortless, which is a true art form. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for them, but a passion. I was able to actually enjoy time with our employees instead of worrying about logistics. I will absolutely be using them for my catering needs going forward, both for private and company events. I have used The Catering Company of Washington now for almost 35 years. They cater a holiday dinner for about a dozen guests in their beautiful event space and a summer picnic at my home for anywhere from 15 to 40 every year. Also, when I was in private practice, they catered our summer recruiting events for roughly 75-100 people. No detail--from designing the menu to the ultimate presentation--is too small to escape their attention. Every event during my long relationship with The Catering Company has been flawless. Each year, my guests exclaim "this is the best ever." Until the next event rolls around, when my guests say, "THIS is the best ever!"

So I’ll just start this review by saying that LITERALLY every single person who we spoke to at our wedding said it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I wholeheartedly agree with their assessment. Elizabeth worked with us every step of the way and had multiple contingencies in place in case something didn’t work on the day. If you’re looking for peace of mind and to some of the best food you’ll ever have, then I cannot recommend the Catering Company of Washington highly enough.

The dedication on presentation, detail is implacable in food and service

Good food, good linen cutlery etc and good people. But they did botch up a few critical details for my daughter's wedding. Recomend using them with close supervision. Ritha
