Hubbard Hospice House

Many thanks to the staff of Hubbard Hospice House. My father was well cared for with dignity, and dedication. The house is beautiful, well kept and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea and snacks. My mother and I were treated with courtesy and kindness. Special thanks to chaplain Ray, for prayers and support.

The people who cared for my dad as he left us are angels walking on Earth. The facility truly is home-like. My tiny dad finally could rest in a comfortable bed that didn't seem to swallow him and we had a comfortable and peaceful space to stay with him. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I dont know how to fully express my gratitude, but I can assure anyone considering Hubbard House as an option that we had a positive experience in the most difficult chapter of life.

My very dear father (the last surviving parent), received top-notch compassionate end-of-life care at this facility in June 2024. He was only there a couple of days upon release and transport from CAMC General Hospital which was arranged effortlessly and flawlessly. Which was most appreciated by me. The Hospice doctor was very compassionate to my father and me. If I could remember his name I’d praise him. My father was very clean and freshly shaven, hair trimmed around the edges. I also appreciate the bereavement cards and information mailed with services being offered for grief. Holiday cards. Etc… All I can say is thank you for everything. Your treatment and facility are such an asset to the region. My family and I are forever grateful.

I would love to sincerely thank the staff in the Charleston facility for the excellent care and affection shown to my wife in her end of life care . Also the kindness and understanding shown to me as I stayed by her side. Sincerely James Pence

Our mother only spent about 12 hours at Hubbard House before her passing. We are so grateful to have had her in that peaceful, caring environment for her last hours. Her RN Dana and the whole staff went above and beyond to make sure our mother and our family were comfortable in every way. She explained everything that our mother was going through with compassion and respect. Our mother passed peacefully and with dignity in a private setting. We truly feel Dana is an Angel and we cannot recommend Hubbard House enough.
