I have never had a problem getting appts when needed esp if I am in crisis. Aimee is the BEST at her job because she truly cares about her people & you can tell she loves her job. I am very impressed with the people at Family Car Center. Compassion, caring, being thorough.
The person I’m working with is wonderful. Rarely do I meet someone and instantly feel trust and comfort. I feel like I’ve know her for years, and am confident that she has my best interest at heart.

They will not help you if you have ADHD! All they want to do is prescribe you SSRIs that you didn’t ask for and don’t need!
I have been dealing with symptoms of ADHD for many years now and my primary care doctor and therapist both believe that I have it.
My primary care doctor always wants to double check and cover all his bases before prescribing meds though so he needed me to get formally evaluated somewhere else. It felt like a very frustrating second step to have to go get another evaluation, but after two months of putting it off (ADHD brain at work) I finally made the call.
I scheduled with family care center who I found through my United healthcare portal. The provider I requested wasn’t available (who was listed as an ADHD diagnosing specialist), but they assured me anyone they booked me With would be accepted by my insurance and could also help me.
This place is not interested in actually diagnosing you with anything other than depression or anxiety. They will claim that they won’t be able to properly diagnose you with ADHD so they don’t feel comfortable prescribing medication with no lasting side effects based on a preliminary exam, but based on the preliminary exam for depression and anxiety they give you (that you don’t ask for) they’re more than comfortable prescribing you an SSRI, which can have irreversible side effects.
It should be noted that we did one “exam” that lasted MAYBE 5 minutes of the hour long appointment. The exam was pathetic and basically amounted to an online quiz that you would take to see if you have symptoms of ADHD. The other 55 minutes, she was asking me about my feelings and my family history and any trauma in my background and a whole lot of other things I wasn’t there to talk about (and aren’t applicable/relevant) so that she could fit me neatly into the depression and anxiety box they set out to put their patients in.
The provider said the results of her “exam” were inconclusive and was trying to send me to a 2nd place to get evaluated for ADHD (which would actually be my third), which was the whole reason I came here in the first place. They assured me they were capable of doing that! They are not. They are not interested in helping you. They are only interested in your co-pay.
If your goal is to get on an antidepressant come here and trust me they’ll throw one at you after an hour of talking to you with no context of what the medication is why they’ve selected that one for you.

Five months ago, our family walked through one of the most terrifying seasons of our lives. Our 17-year-old son experienced a choking incident that left him deeply traumatized. Almost overnight, fear took hold of him. He stopped eating normally, terrified that it would happen again, and he lost over 50 pounds in a very short amount of time. As parents, we felt helpless watching our strong, healthy son shrink physically and emotionally before our eyes.
Then we found Desiree Dempster and everything began to change.
From the very first interaction, Desiree met our son with patience, gentleness, and genuine compassion. She didn’t just treat a symptom; she cared for his heart, his fears, and our entire family. She listened without judgment, educated us with clarity, and walked beside us every step of the way. She made herself available when we needed reassurance, guidance, or simply someone who understood what we were facing.
What stands out most is the balance she brought, medically and emotionally. She thoughtfully found the right combination and dosage of medication while continually checking in to ensure our son felt safe and heard. Her approach was never rushed. It was steady, intentional, and deeply compassionate.
Today, our son has done a complete 360 turnaround. He is eating again. He is smiling again. He is living again. The fear that once controlled him no longer defines him and we truly believe Desiree’s care, wisdom, and dedication played a life-changing role in that transformation.
There are not enough words to express our gratitude. Desiree didn’t just provide treatment; she restored hope. Our family will forever be thankful for the kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support she gave during one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
We cannot recommend her highly enough.

My first appointment went better than I could have hoped, honestly I went into the office ready for another let down or battle since thats how its been more than not with other mental health facilities I've had to deal with. I was ready to give up, that is until my visit with Dee. She listened, showed compassion and put me at ease within minutes. Now I have renewed hope in myself and my care. Thank you Miss Dee, you are a blessing. Thank you to the entire Family Care Center ❤️
