Purple Heart Donation

I scheduled a donation pickup today a few weeks back. I put the bags out on my porch. Hours later, and bags are still out on my porch. I called the place and ask them if they are still coming and they said that they were out at 12:25pm and they couldn’t not find my house. if they were having trouble looking for the address of my residence they should of called me and I would of help them. Since they didn’t do that, it shows the drivers were careless and not communicating. They ask me for a reschedule and I politely told them no. I will not be calling them again for any future donations!!!!! I’ll stick with donation drop off with Salvation Army from now on.

I had heard great things about your group, my mom had passed away,so between her clothes and my family I had over 25 bags to donate. I received a confirmation for a pickup day and they never showed for that scheduled pick up day,, ,and when I texted and called I received a text back that said they didn't service my area. I left messages on the phone lines and text to try and find out what had happened --- and got no response. So the next day I drove the bags to my other local charities in my area . Sadly when I got home that afternoon I received a text that said Purple Heart showed up and there was no donations, very upsetting,as I wanted my things to go to your organization .

They did not pick up my full donation. I saw NOTHING specifying a limit of items, just weight for larger ones. I needed these items to be taken away so they could be put to good use!!! I can not keep calling to arrange pickups every week for them to just take a small portion. I couldn't even put everything out because it was too much for me and it was a struggle lugging the items back in my house. My suggestion is to call another charity that clearly specifies donation limits. Now I have to figure out what to do with all these items that are taking up space, because I have ABSOLUTELY NO MEANS of dropping them off anywhere!!!!

Scheduled a pick up , it was a month out. I had all the bags and boxes ready to picked up on the day scheduled before 7:30am. 9pm no one ever picked them up. I emailed the office and they said that the driver said he didn’t see any donations. I checked our cameras no one ever came to pick up , approached our home or porch or even slowed down to see. So she rescheduled me a new date 7 days later. . Driver picks up the goods after me calling to make sure they were still coming. I think I rather just drop off from now on then deal with the hassle of pick up.

After reading several one star reviews after I had already scheduled my appointment for pickup I was skeptical that my items would be picked up for donation. I recieved the confirmation email and placed my items outside by 7:30am, items were picked up early afternoon with what looked like a very packed truck that had been to several other pickups as well. Will definitely use again!
