Vietnam Veterans of America – Free Donation Pickup in Clinton Township

Our condo complex just had a garage sale. Many people scheduled pick up of remaining items. Neighbor watched as the driver roughly threw bags, boxes and rest of items into the truck. One table fell apart. No care taken. Will donate to another charity in the future.

I am very disappointed with the service. I had a confirmed pick up day yesterday. Was given a 3 hour pick up window. They never showed so I called and was told that the driver was 8 stops out. Two hours later I got a message that the driver would be here soon. That was at 6:30. The stuff is still sitting on the porch. I called this morning and was told that their truck was full and they can't pick up until Tuesday. No communication about this what so ever. Meanwhile I have twenty boxes and bags of clothing sitting on the front porch.

WOW! I really don't understand the scathing reviews of this organization! They are sooo organized! I scheduled my pick up over the phone, yes you can speak to an actual person! After the initial conversation I was contacted numerous times to confirm and reconfirm my scheduled pick up! I received text as well as email notifications the day prior to pickup asking me to confirm. Day of I was kept informed of pickup time window. I am very pleased! Thank You!

Today was the second time I have contacted the Vietnam Veterans to pick up clothing and other miscellaneous items for donation. Each time the experience has been great! They come to your home and pick up items clearly marked left outside. No more carrying boxes out to your car. And they come rain or shine. Leaves you with a good feeling that you are helping the Vietnam Vets! I really appreciate this service.

Hello. This is my second time asking for a pickup. The first time I'm given a 3 hour window to be at the residence that I don't live at because I just moved out. An I'm expected to be there when the driver so happens to get there is insane. I can't spend 3 hours of my day when I have a full schedule to take care of. I get no notification of when the arrival is coming except a false projection. Then I make a second pickup for today to come claim my things and the men arrive after the projection was emailed to me "11:00-2:15" they arrived at 2:30. To only pickup my boxed items and maybe a small few pieces. I still have the rest of my pickup here. This homes finale sale is within a couple days and I have tried to sell online and do what I can to clear these items and the fact that after 2 attempts with this company and barely any communication is upsetting. What am I supposed to do with all my items now that your pickup people left with me??? This is terrible business.
