ZERO STARS!! The church used to be great before WOKE & EQUITY seeped in and overpowered Dr. Ernest Holmes intended messages. The Science Of Mind Magazine is not what is used to be. "Toxic Masculinity", "global warming" and "equity" have been written into every article. STOP integrating political preferences and woke agendas into the original messages of Ernest Holmes. Whoever...... it/she/him(toxic)/her/they/them (stop it already) is in charge of the magazine has RUINED the messages by shoving their own idealogy down our throats. These are NOT Ernest Holmes message at all. KNOCK IT OFF!! The monthly magazine is now a two month magazine because sales have plummeted. WAKE UP... nobody wants to read about your personal pronouns, equity and toxic masculinity!! You can on your own time.

My spiritual home where family and faith combine with teaching me how to live my best life. Inspiring ministers and talented musicians provide Sunday services beyond words. Cant imagine my life without CSL Reno.

Going to give it another chance. They are not really welcoming or particularly friendly. I come from a Unity church in Houston and have been to many Unitys(similar way of thinking to CSL) and there is an openness and friendliness no matter the part of the country. Yes there is a Unity in town but due to allergies I cannot attend. Hoping to find a niche in this community.

The CSL in Reno has a beautiful building, which is readily accessible and well laid-out. Upon entering, we were greeted by very happy and joyous people. The main sanctuary had about 150 people in attendance, mostly an older group, happily singing and participating. They offer two services on Sundays, 9:15 and 11:00, with Youth Church available. They also stream live on the web, which is a great way to become familiar with their services and approach. A fun aspect of the Church is that their mascot, a Black Lab, occasionally walks around and greets people in attendance.
The service I am writing about was entitled “The Gift of Joy,” and was centered on the heart of Jesus’ message of Love and Joy that he brought to the world. It was interspersed with wonderful songs that supported the message. It clearly touched many in attendance. Backed up with a three-piece band and three vocalists, needless to say, the music was amazing. We will happily attend again.
