Bristol Hospice - Virginia Beach

Office staff sucks! The Bather should’ve told me that my father was getting bed sores she would’ve noticed. Do not recommend, especially when you’re trying to keep somebody comfortable as they pass away.

I am not happy with Bristol Hospice. I have power of attorney for my older sister and want the best care possible for her. Bristol Hospice allowed her to sign herself up for their services without contacting me. When I contacted them to inform them I wanted my sister off of hospice I was told it was a very easy process. My sister and I would have to sign a form. Interesting, considering they didn’t need my signature for for her to be enrolled in the program. The RN that I spoke with on the phone was very kind and knowledgeable. I believe her name was Kayla. I’m sorry, but that is the only positive thing I can say for your company. They also were going to put her on a very powerful antipsychotic medicine, which is truly not needed for my sister. All she needs is something to help her sleep, not a powerful antipsychotic drug. As far as the stars for your rating, your company does not deserve a single star in my opinion, however, I had to put at least one star to be able to post this.

I couldn’t give high enough praise for Bristol Hospice. Our family member had a constellation of very complicated issues prior to passing on. As the only living family member, I lived five hours away and they were in regular contact with me when I wasn’t able to be there. The nurses and social worker on our case demonstrated empathy, compassion and were proactive in escalating care to meet our family member’s needs. I am so grateful there’s an organization like Bristol that assembles such special people to assist families and patients. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. Thank you, ladies!

The only reason I am still using Bristol Hospice for my father is because of 1 employee! Denise!!!! Not only does she show empathy and compassion to my dad. I have made 2 separate calls on other workers and I now want you to know that Denise not only has learned to love my dad but she has also taught me so much on how to take care of him. I certainly hope and pray she gets on recognization for being an outstanding employee for your company.

Bristol Hospice was wonderful to our family. They took care of our loved one beautifully. They were able to help us find the perfect setting for our loved one's final days. They did a great job and we're very grateful.
