Had me sign a form to take my mom off hospice, stating they would set her back up after she is out of hospital. Then denied her based on her insurance. Why take her on in the first place then? Woman who called me was so nonchalant about offloading us. They do not care at all they are only for profit. They only care about how much they will be reimbursed by insurance. They didn’t care that mom would be send back without any pain meds.

My 94 year old mother recently died with dementia in assisted living. She has been under the care of Valor Hospice for a long time. The care she received from Valir was exceptional ! Everyone was very professional and responsive to her needs. I want to give a special thanks to Keri Kupp, she was mom's primary nurse. Moms dementia took some very dark and difficult turns, Kerri took care of mom like she was family, she explained every aspect of moms treatment and medication in terms I could understand, explained the different phases of the disease and what we could expect as it progressed. We will always be grateful for her thoughtfulness and professionalism and how she took care of mom. I would highly recommend Valir Hospice to anyone in a similar situation.

My mom has been with Valir Hospice for a few months now. Mom was on two other Hospice companies previously and I have been extremely pleased with Valir. My complaint with the previous companies was no communication. I have to say that I not had that experience with Valir. I get weekly contact with moms hospice nurse and and chaplin calls me every time they see her which is about once a month. Its what I envisioned hospice to be. I would highly recommend them!

I wish there was an option for 0 stars because even 1 star is too much. Do NOT trust that they have the best interest for your loved one. They are more about quantity and not quality. It was a fight to get comfort meds adjust for my Nanny for it to only get adjusted by 0.5mls. Not to mention the pharmacy that was used and the dme company was an absolute nightmare. They were hateful, rude and the wonderful mouthy "ED" that picked up her equipment threw things because he was mad we were switching. After a full week of her suffering, we made the best decision to switch her to a different company and she was immediately made comfortable and was able to pass without suffering and her dignity was maintained. The owner of the pharmacy/dme got a huge complaint from my boss in which he turned around and wanted our hospice company to sign a contract to use them? Ummm. No thanks. hospice nurse myself of 17 years this year, I am appalled by the lack of care during what is already such a difficult time. We will forever regret choosing them in the first place.

All of our nurses and our aide have been tremendously nice, caring, and loving. In such a hard time they have been perfect to comfort our mom and us. They also take the time to explain everything and listen to and fulfill our needs. So thankful we chose Valir.
