This review is not related to the quality of therapy received by any counselors at New Life. Unfortunately, we never reached that point in our journey with this practice. We reached out to setup services and scheduled an appointment with the receptionist for a date. Prior to making an appointment, we filled out all the new client paperwork as requested. My husband emailed back and forth with the receptionist about our appointment date and time. The day of our appointment, we realized we had not received a confirmation email or an appointment reminder so we called when the office opened to confirm before making the 45 minute drive to the office. We were told the appointment was still available with the scheduled provider but he hadn’t actual booked for an unknown reason, assumed to be a simple mistake. He asked if we could fill out the paperwork, which we could not, but still confirmed an appointment time with the provider. He called us back 1 minute before our appointment was supposed to start to notify us that the therapist wouldn’t be available for another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time in our schedules to wait due to our professional responsibilities and had to cancel the appointment. We opted out of moving forward with this practice for a few different reasons; our scheduling process seemed disorganized, overall we wasted approximately an hour and a half driving to and from the office for nothing, and although mistakes happen and the receptionist was mildly apologetic, he didn’t seem to fully acknowledge or empathize with the time we invested. Also of note, the code provided to get into the building did not work, the button on the door to exit is broken, and the office lobby is not depicted in the google image photos which can be misleading about the overall aesthetics of the practice. The lobby was clean but outdated (which doesn’t correlate with the images posted on google.) Update: My original review was posted 7 months ago. The recent response (4/29) includes a few inaccuracies. We completed our intake paperwork prior to the day of the appointment, so there was no delay on the client’s end. Additionally, my comment about the building’s foyer (including the entrance button) was separate from the overall lobby aesthetic. More importantly, the primary concern remains the communication breakdown around scheduling and confirmation. The response does not appear to address that issue directly, which is disappointing given the nature of a counseling practice. My intention in sharing this experience is to highlight an opportunity for clearer communication with future clients.

Chelsea is a wonderful therapist who meets you where you're at in your healing journey. She has much experience in trauma-informed work. She embodies patience, warmth, humor, knowledge, and dedication to your treatment. I highly recommend her to clients.

We have marriage/family counseling with Marc for about 8 months. Marc is awesome listens to our needs and is really good at making sure we are both being listened to. My husband and I have significantly improved our communication skills and are able to handle the situations better because of therapy and don't plan to ever stop therapy!

Chelsea has been great to work with! She was consistently supportive, never made me feel judged, and always was attentive to my needs. Therapy has been something I dragged my feet on forever because of the reputation it gets but Chelsea exceeded my expectations. And most importantly, she helped me and gave me the tools to continue to work on myself. If you are on the fence, give it a try! And I cannot say enough positive things about Chelsea!

New Life Counseling has been a blessing for me and my family. Donna was masterful in helping my family work through a very difficult and tense situation. Donna's style and approach made it possible to build trust VERY quickly with her, which enabled our intensive "rebuilding" process to go quickly and smoothly. New Life Counseling FAR exceeded my expectations and we continue to work with Donna and her staff as our family needs change and scenarios arise. I would strongly recommend New Life Counseling to anybody.
