Jessica is a great facilitator for the Cups of Wisdom retirement group. She has prepared a binder for us to work through and has great outside reading recommendations. She is very adept at incorporating info from our discussions into the next set of ideas for sessions. This group has helped me get through a tough year. Thank you!

I had a terrible experience with my teenage daughter’s counselor. Her advice was completely unhelpful and seemed to lack any real psychological insight. Instead of teaching her about managing her nervous system or providing professional strategies to cope with her issues, he just encouraged her to quit school and start working, which felt reckless and inappropriate for a minor. She acted more like a casual friend chatting about life rather than a qualified professional offering evidence-based guidance. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone seeking genuine support for their child—steer clear! And I would like to report this practice to someone. Please follow up with your kids because this has an extremely terrifying that this woman was trusted with kids. My daughter has now voiced how bad her therapist was and she regrets listening to her and taking her advice

I have been so pleased with my therapy at New light counseling. My therapist SallyJo has been an amazing therapist; so supportive, she hears me and is knowledgeable of what it takes in the journey of healing. Overall she makes me feel safe, seen and empowered.

My hope is someone looks into some of these therapist. It’s so very hard to find a therapist that helps you in learning your nervous system and healing unresolved childhood traumas. My daughter is seeing a therapist that acts more like her friend than a therapist. It’s been a couple years with zero progress. There is nothing being taught to her and she basically uses her session to vent. My daughter is struggling and her therapist isn’t being a therapist. She has little to no concern and is only worried about her pay. My daughter was in danger and I reached out to her therapist and her therapist said well let me know if you locate her and she still wants to do a session? She was 16 seeing 24 year old boy she told the therapist about and it was never reported
