We the laid people of our catholic church provide the appeal to support all the programs offer by this institution. Unfortunately, I think that money is for paying rude and apathy employees and building rent. And not for help people looking for assistance. This should close and we do not have to support rude employees nor innecesary buildings like this catholic charities.

They lead u on to believe they can help u with rent and all these amazing things u think they can help u with in a time of need and desperation but it's ultimately a lie to lead u on to nothing. They don't have funds they don't have anything to help anyone . Especially a mother with her infant. Nothing they can do. It's a waste of time. Don't call them and waste your time. It's better to live on the streets than to call these people

Got into a program that’s supposed to help me, my case manager was very rude and not helpful, she just kept sending the same information that had no context to it saying I had to fallow the rules. I told her my situation and she removed me from the program. I do not recommend this place. They are very demanding and make you feel completely uncomfortable forcing you to do things you are not comfortable with like “showing your face on camera” in front of total strangers or you don’t get the credit and will be removed. Or if you miss a call you will be removed. It was like walking on eggshells. And so not worth the stress.

My first visit today I arrived 10 minutes ahead of my appointment at 11 AM and was Rudely greeted by the receptionist nubia!! She stated i missed my appointment that it was at 10 am So I showed her proof from my Gmail that my appointment was at 11. She smacked her lips and brushed me off, telling me to go sit down and wait!! She’s working at a Catholic charity church with rude tendencies and bad manners!! I also had to greet her coming in but everyone after me she greeted openly as soon as they walked in!! My case manager seems okay ,but we will see I’ll let you’ll know how it goes. I was told there are no funds for help but i received 6 diapers and toiletries for my toddler.

I’m honestly disappointed with Catholic Charities. As a Catholic myself, I expected more compassion and follow-through from an organization that prides itself on helping those in need. Several months ago, when I was in a difficult financial situation, they told me they would assist by sending a $600 payment to my mortgage company. That payment was never received. I’ve been asking them to look into it for nearly six months, and despite repeated follow-ups, I’ve received no resolution or even a proper update.
Most recently, I called again because I am still in a tough spot, and while they once again said they would get back to me, it’s been close to a month with no response. I mainly speak with Mrs. Vasquez, who often comes across as short and dismissive on the phone. When I asked if there was anyone else I could escalate the matter to or another contact I could reach out to, she said she could not provide any further information.
It’s hard to understand how a charity organization tasked with helping people in urgent situations can leave clients hanging during critical times. I don’t know if it’s poor communication, understaffing, or simply not prioritizing follow-through, but it has left me feeling neglected and frustrated. I truly hope they can reflect on how they handle people who come to them in vulnerable moments because right now, it feels like I’m being ignored when I need help the most.
