During one of the most difficult times of mine and my family's life, Southern Care has been a ray of light. From speaking to them on the phone, to a nurse coming over and starting my mother's hospice care (by the way, Ginger is absolutely amazing)... they have been an absolute Godsend. It feels like a huge weight has been taken off of me and now my mother and I have the best support moving forward. My entire family is so thankful for their help and guidance. I can't recommend Southern Care Hospice enough. Update- I was told we would have a hospital bed the next day, and we did. I've only had kind nurses come in, and their Chaplain is an amazing man. I continue to be impressed with their care and support. Update- My mother passed on, and Southern Care was there every step of the way. And Barb, I can't say enough amazing things about Barb. She was my primary nurse and I was so blessed to have her. She was kind, compassionate, and just beyond amazing. She was my shoulder to lean on, and I'm so happy she was there through everything. ❤️

We chose Southern Care Hospice and everything started out well. But when we ordered a hospital bed we were told it would be there the next day and after a week we asked about it again and was told the same thing. After 3 weeks still no bed. So we decided to transfer to a different Hospice. Well this process is typically easy and you fill out a transfer of service form and they send over all the records to the new company. After I asked at 9am they said they would get me to sign for it and then my father had to sign so when I got the form it said Revocation of hospice. I called back and said this but they said that's what we use. This is totally different because it does not say anything about transferring it only says that we don't want hospice any longer. That's not what we wanted. They said they would call me back. No one ever called me back. Now the new Hospice company has to get a medical release and ask the doctor for a new order and start from the beginning. They requested the records this morning at 9am and it's now 1pm and they still haven't received them. I do not recommend this place.

Lea and Chris has been really rude to me and my mom hasn’t received any supplies since September 3rd. Always an argument with Lea or Chris trying to get supplies ordered. Chris told me if I don’t have supplies go buy them myself and I told him I didn’t have the money too buy them because I had to make sure my mom and children had plenty to eat. He told me it wasn’t southern care’s problem if I can’t afford extra supplies .There has been many other issues as well.

Southern Hospice was amazing. They took care of my mom for years and we could not have been happier or had a better experience. Everyone and I mean everyone from nurses to CNA's etc. were wonderful. We truly could not have been happier and I hope to never need their services again but if we do they will be the only company we use.
