MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care at West San Jose

We had a wonderful experience with MorningStar Assisted Living. Luis and Isela were kind, attentive, and very supportive throughout the process — they answered all of our questions thoroughly and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. They were incredibly patient with our uncle and went above and beyond to make him feel welcome and cared for. We are very grateful for their professionalism and compassion, and highly recommend MorningStar to families looking for a warm and supportive environment for their loved ones.

This is a wonderful place, and you can really see the care and effort that goes into everything they do. I’ve had the chance to visit this community a few times, and I’ve been very impressed each time. The building is always clean and well taken care of, which makes it feel warm and welcoming. Plus, the food here is excellent. I even got to meet the chef, and he’s great at what he does. I toured the facility with Luis Rivas, he was there every step of the way. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and making the whole visit easy to follow. When we toured the memory care unit, I was touched by how patient, caring, and skilled the team is with the residents. I also really liked seeing how they plan daily activities for the residents. It shows they put in the effort to keep everyone engaged and active.

The residents and staff are great and very friendly. Stephanie , Brandy, Jennifer, and Albert are very warm and helpful. We chose this community because open layout of my apartment its a onebedroom and big kitchen counter tops. The food has been improving as there is many cultures and the Chef is accomodating. Overall I recomment this community .

I have so many positive things to share about MorningStar West San Jose. When I first walked into the facility, I was amazed—it felt more like a modern five-star hotel than a senior home. Ling, the customer coordinator, is not only fluent in both English and Mandarin but also incredibly friendly and professional. She gave us a thorough tour of the entire facility, including the garden, dining hall, and activity room, and introduced us to the wonderful staff. At the time, my mother, who has Alzheimer’s, was living in another senior home in the East Bay. The thought of moving her seemed overwhelming and was honestly never on my mind. However, after Ling’s detailed tour and introduction, we were completely sold on the place and decided to move forward without hesitation. Ling was always there to offer support and advice, even when she was busy. Her dedication to helping me with any concerns or questions was invaluable. Bernadette, the coordinator at the memory care unit, is incredibly responsible and attentive to every detail. I can tell my mom is in great hands with her care. It’s hard to believe my mom has been there for almost half a year now. Each time I visit, I’m still impressed by the bright, welcoming activity room and the warm, friendly staff. My mom seems enjoy the healthy meals and snacks offered daily. With the variety of activities provided, she’s also made new friends among the other residents. They dine together, exercise, draw, create crafts, and watch movies — activities that I believe have positively influenced her well-being. I recommend MorningStar West San Jose to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. It’s a facility that truly goes above and beyond. I also hope to see MorningStar expand and build more senior homes like this throughout Silicon Valley.

My Mother was one of the first residents to move into MorningStar West San Jose - she arrived in February. Words simply cannot describe how wonderful her - and our family - experience has been. There is so much kindness, so much genuine caring, so much laughter, so many beautiful friendships, and so much fun. It truly radiates goodness. The staff are outstanding - each and every one - there is not a single staff member that does not know my Mother personally and who does not go above and beyond to help or just be there - because they care and because want to. It is a family - and everyone feels this way. Exceptional corporate management is so important. The Executive Director and her team are among the best and most highly respected in the Bay area - she has a gift for creating a remarkable culture of excellence, compassion and passion - and this is so evident in this beautiful place. Corporate leadership is outstanding and exemplify the beautiful vision and culture they are committed to providing. Leadership is fully invested and completely supportive in ensuring the operations and building, Executive Director, her team, and residents are supported with the recourses needed - and there in time of need. It is a remarkable company with leadership embodying every aspect of their commitment to their vision. The residents are equally tremendous. So many wonderful people with exceptional life experiences, and interesting and exciting backgrounds. Everyone is committed to making everyone feel welcome and included. New residents are reached out to and invited to join in - everyone cares about each other. Meals are so much fun with everyone, as are the crafts, the nightly movies, outings, lectures, exercise classes, entertainment, games, musicians and so much more - and if someone has an interest in doing something, it is done! It has been so enriching and so much fun to get to know everyone and their families and see these incredible friendships form. The facility is beautiful. The furnishings and interior design are sophisticated and top quality. The apartments are oversized, light and bright and are beautifully appointed. There is easy access to all amenities and parking which makes life so much easier for residents to enjoy. The safety aspect is particularly outstanding. The outside perimeter is fully fenced and secure, there is a concierge that ensures arriving visitors are just that and is there to help residents, the parking garage is secured and monitored. This is so different than so many other places I visited. There is care 24 - 7 should your loved one need it - and it comes immediately. Residents can scale their care needs as required - and be as independent for as long as they can. It is truly wonderful and so appreciated. Everyone looks after each other and is concerned for each other just as family does. I cannot say enough good things about MorningStar West San Jose. Our experience has been so exceptional. Choosing a Senior Living Community is difficult. I looked at over 25 facilities. My Mother is so happy with her choice. This has been such an exceptional experience on every level.
