I’m from out-of-town and wanted a local florist to deliver to a friend and Volanni surpassed my expectations! I will never use another DC florist! Their communication was great and the flowers were gorgeous. I always expect online pictures to be better than what’s delivered in-person, but Volanni (again) completely surpassed my expectations. Really, really pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

Flowers were perfect (and gorgeous). Communication was terrific (I reached out after ordering on line and was contacted immediately). Delivery was great. I’ve found the place I’ll use every time.

It might have been the rush of valentines day, but its no excuse for $180 flowers to be delivered wilting. I called the shop to check if some mistake had been made. The owner himself delivered it and stated that they looked fine. He said if I was unhappy they could deliver a second but he never so much as acknowledged that wilting flowers on delivery was unexpected. He said they looked good to him, so I never followed up for a replacement. They were completely dead in 2 days. Owners response says it all. No apology, if you don't like them it must be your fault that you are unhappy. It must be the fault of the lobby where they sat for 2 minutes. It must be the fault of the measly $180 you paid because that's small and they "didn't look that bad". It's your fault for not wanting a second set, the day after Valentine's day. If only he spent half as much energy in customer service as he did going through the internet history of strangers.

I needed an extraordinary bouquet of flowers for a dear friend and I was told I had many florists to choose from in DC. But I knew they were all wrong. I had only one choice: Volanni! I knew his work not only from different friends but also from my volunteer work at the Smithsonian, specifically the Freer/Sackler museum. Every week Volanni made a beautiful arrangement for them and each was a piece of art. The beautiful bouquet I ordered was not made by a florist, but by an artist. The orchids, the succulents, the many choice of flowers were lovely, exotic, textural and beautifully displayed. It took my breath away. I will order from no other place from now on. Thank you, Volanni. You are an artist.
