The memory care unit needs some serious intervention. It is essentially residents just waiting to die. They provide no activities for them. There will be a list of activities on the wall, but unless you are there to take your loved one out, no one else will. Your loved one will live between their room and dining area. No outside time. I stopped by at random times of the day so no one can dispute this as far as I am concerned.
The food is absolutely terrible. Residents are often left hungry. Attached is a picture of dinner, mind you, most of these people are missing teeth so not really sure who decided on celery as a side. I often had residents ask me for food. One day when I was signing in and taking my loved one a home cooked meal a NON memory care resident asked me to bring her food.
The worst thing about this facility’s memory care unit is lack of communication or simply unwillingness to be transparent. My loved one has dementia and being that one could never be fully sure if what he was saying was accurate, I’d ask the staff and the answer was always the same, I don’t know.
One evening I noticed my loved one had scrapes on his arms and legs and he told me he had gotten into a fight with another resident. When I asked the evening staff they had no idea. So morning shift didn’t convey any information? He may have slipped in the shower or who knows. They didn’t have an answer and his story has many reasons why it could be true.
Another evening, my loved one’s glucose monitor was missing. I asked the staff and again they didn’t know. Turned out it had gotten washed in the washer earlier in the day. Someone knew, but not the main person covering the unit.
I would not recommend this place for a person with dementia or Alzheimer’s. There are much nicer facilities that actively engage all of their residents and don’t just keep them locked in with nothing to do. Other facilities provide group physical therapy, games and activities. If you don’t visit your loved one it is very likely they go the entire day without engaging in any real conversation or activity.

I had the pleasure of touring this facility today as an Office Manager from Intercoastal Home Health Care, a non-medical home care agency. Rebecca Hoffman and the team were incredibly welcoming, professional, and took the time to walk me through their services and the level of care they provide to their residents.
The facility is clean, well-organized, and has a warm, compassionate environment. It’s clear the staff truly cares about the comfort and well-being of everyone there.
I look forward to building a strong partnership together and supporting their residents whenever needed. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for their loved ones.

This facility has been through three executive directors in three years. However, the current director, Danielle Choffey is hands down the best. She had a lot to prove after Kandi (horrible) left. She and her staff, care for the residents, families and the facility. My father was there for three years, till his passing. He was well cared for and tended to. Everyone made him comfortable and happy till the end. I would highly recommend it for your loved one.
Lots of activities too.
Colliers made a difficult situation much better. I will be forever grateful. ❤️

Place is clean. Everyone I have met has been accommodating, and treat patients with respect and lets them keep their dignity. I sleep better at night knowing my sister is being taken care of at Wickshire.

I can't say enough good things about Wickshire Port St. Lucie. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The executive director and office staff were professional, compassionate, and accomodating. My father's caregiver in memory care was so kind and gentle with him. I started crying tears of gratitude because they were so wonderful with him. This was the most difficult time for my family, and the staff made the transition seemless with their care and compassion. I highly recommend Wickshire. You and your loved one will feel like family.
