AMRI is such an amazing clinic. They are committed to mental health to the fullest. The staff is not only professional but relatable, empathetic and supportive. I support them whole heartedly. Their service is definitely appreciated and needed.

I am currently a patient of Amri Counseling and I have to update my review. I allowed my frustration to get the best of me, again instead of taking time to breathe and problem solve. I would like to say I was experiencing some issues with my insurance receiving weekly notes and not communicating that to Amri but constantly calling me. Because of the misunderstanding, the owner called me personally to resolve the issues and go over my treatment plan. The office even called to let me know they submitted a request to the records department and I should be receiving an email no later than tomorrow. This made me feel heard, and appreciated as a patient. I also would like to say that I have had the same therapist for the last 3 months and were making some progress. She works with my internal medicine doctor and I enjoy meeting with her weekly. Anytime, I need something from the office I am able to go in the inside and speak to someone in person and get resolve. I appreciate the great customer service from the gentleman who runs the capital location. We all know customer service has taken a plug with all business but he continues to treat everyone with respect and kindness. Thank you, Amri for what you do in community continue to keep up the good work.

I had 3 of my children who saw therapist there and it was very inconsistent. One of my kids was getting ready to see her 3rd therapist because nobody stays. My kids were no longer comfortable meeting with anyone there due to the inconsistency. Now it’s been over a year and a half I am being billed for service that no one can provide me with an itemized billed for. Each statement I have received the amounts have varied in price. It is hard to even speak with someone. I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re ok with a revolving door of therapist or being billed several times randomly without a break down.

READ THIS!!!! I don't normally write reviews but felt I need to with seeing so many negative comments about AMRI. I am a current patient at this clinic. This counseling center is a small, black, woman owned business. I have received counseling here for a while and it is fantastic compared to other places I have been. I know there are other reviews that complain about the billing, however, all prices were explained to me immediately upon asking. Additionally, on their forms they clearly state their financial policies. that if your insurance does not cover services you are required to cover the costs. Everyone has to sign these forms, so I don't understand why people are then shocked when they receive bills. Do yall not read the stuff you sign? I experienced an issue with my insurance, which I was notified about and then it was handled appropriately and in a timely manner. I have gone into this clinic and seen numerous people getting hostile and rude with the workers, but everyone always maintained professional I assume many of these reviews come from people who don't understand how counseling and insurance contracts work. it is the responsibility of us, the patient's, to provide the correct info and contact our insurance to see if services are covered. I took those steps beforehand and did not have any problems with receiving incorrect bills or being charged differently. Also, therapists are not constantly changing. I have been seeing the same therapist for over a year now... Regardless though, Is it not normal for someone to quit their job or move somewhere else? REMEMBER THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT A GIANT CORPORATION. OF COURSE THERE WILL BE SOME MISTAKES MADE. but as I have experience they take the time to resolve these mistakes as best as they can.
