Breathtaking incompetence with a simple order to purchase and deliver flowers:
I wanted to surprise a special lady with flowers. I hit their website and filled out the on-line form to purchase and deliver some flowers. Their form asked for an email address to contact me and the phone number of the recipient of the flowers. When I entered my CC info, I was asked for the email associated with the account. Note: On their website, it is impossible to specify flowers be delivered and exclude the delivery fee from the total.
A little while later, the lady I’m “surprising” with flowers receives a call stating that the flowers will not be delivered unless the delivery change is paid. She tells them she doesn’t know who they are and knows nothing about flowers being delivered. A few minutes later she receives another call from them saying that they were wrong, the delivery fee has already been paid. They say they’re sorry and tell her to “act surprised (tee hee)!” when she gets the flowers, tomorrow.
Thinking this is either a scam to get her credit card info over the phone (which she refused to do), or I actually did order some flowers for her, she sends me an email.
I call them and ask what’s going on. They confirm everything she said. I asked why they called her and ruined the surprise? I received a snippy “That’s the phone number we have on file with this order!”. I ask why they didn’t contact me at the email I provided? They started some explanation of they don’t send emails for lack of payment – I furiously hung up.
To recap:
- They are unaware that when flowers are to be delivered, their website automatically includes the delivery fee in the total charge. It is physically impossible to ask for flowers to be delivered and exclude the delivery fee (They don't know how their website works)
- They contacted the recipient of the flowers, demanding payment for delivery, and later figured out that the delivery charge was paid when the flowers were ordered… then told her to “act surprised” when she received them
- They did not contact me at the email I provided for this order
- All auto-generated emails have been sent to the email associated with my credit card (They should have been sent to contact email I provided)
The lady to whom I sent the flowers was offended that they thought it was ok ask her to pay the delivery fee, and I look like an idiot for have selected such an incompetent florist.
Before 12pm was the request; they arrived a 1pm. A very nice arrangement!

We stopped in near closing time to get a bouquet for our granddaughter. They quickly assembled a beautiful arrangement that exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff that worked together and even gave my wife a couple of special flowers for herself. I highly recommend this florist!

Beware: What I ordered was a pastel farmhouse style and what I got (on the right) was nothing close to the original order! I asked to replace the lilies with a white flower but the pointy succulent is brown on the tips, not healthy and the box/vase is shiny silver, not even attempting to look like what I ordered. I don’t mind the colors but it looks bare because of the pointed succulents. Totally a different vibe here. The good part is they sent a message to my sister to let her know it was delivered and it was on time.

Very disappointed. My coworkers had a huge birthday bouquet delivered to my school and everyone was impressed. The next day the sunflowers, hydrangeas, and the pink and purple flowers were wilted and dying. I called them, they said it was a designer’s choice arrangement , and they couldn’t replace it yet because of a funeral; totally understandable. They delivered a bouquet that was 3x smaller than my original bouquet. The delivery person was very nice, and she said the original bouquet was given more flowers by the designer and this is what I should have received. And the poor lady was asked by the florist to take back my original bouquet! Wow! They got a lot of free advertising by having it shown off at my school, but apparently they weren’t going to get any free publicity delivering a replacement to my home, so they didn’t bother honoring their original design. Very unhappy, but it didn’t dim the thoughtfulness and joy I got from my grade level team and their generous gift!
