We have investigated a lot of assisted living options in New York and New Jersey and we would like to give a shout out to Andre Bongiorno, the Director of Community Relations at 305 West End. She has given generously of her time and explained all we need to know to choose our next home which is likely to be 305 West End, based on our experience of the food, residents, amenities and ANDRE!

When my sister moved to 305 three years ago she first noticed the superb quality of the food and the stimulating variety of daily activities - from Tai Chi to acrylic paining classes.
But the backbone and heart of 305 is the exceptional staff who create a cheerful and caring place to live.
When my sister - who is a fall risk and needs help showering, -starts singing and cracking jokes, some aides join in and and her day starts with laughter..
The wait staff knows her dietary restrictions as well as I do. The med techs are wonderful as are the housekeeping personnel .The PT and OT therapists are excellent. They are contractors permanently assigned to 305's gym with its first class equipment. They have helped her balance and boosted her self-confidence.
I can't say enough good things about the Wellness Director. I am very hands-on and visit a lot. When there is a problem with meds or my sister's care -- and there have been several serious issues - she is quick to resolve them. She is a calm, very capable presence.
In short, my sister feels she has an extended family around her.

I thank my lucky stars every day that I found the 305 Assisted Living Residence for my husband with Alzheimers. The staff could not be more attentive and pleasant. I have full confidence that living at 305 he receives the very best of care.

My mother moved into 305 West End Avenue Assisted Living a little over a month ago and we are very happy with our decision to choose 305. The building, common areas and residents’ rooms are very well maintained, clean, bright and fresh. There is quite a lot of programming, daily stuff and special events, outings, interesting presentations, talks, music. My mother often goes to watch a film after dinner at the in-house theater (just a large room but well fit out with theater-type seating). Popcorn is served.
The staff, really everyone I’ve encountered from the Executive Directors to the Community Relations Directors who introduced us to 305 to the wellness team, and all the many caregivers have consistently been just pleasant, caring people.
Location is great too - West End Avenue is elegantly quiet, but a block away you have the action on Broadway and a block the other way is the green serenity of Riverside Park. And last but not least, the residents themselves seem to be a nice bunch of people, a community.
So for me and my mom, so far so good! Four stars rather than five only because we’re so new on the scene and still settling in. We’re very happy!

I moved my father into the memory care unit at 305 West End last week.
The degree of hospitality, attentiveness and professionalism has been incredible.
I came into the move with high expectations based on research, our guest visit and the outstanding initial presentation and maintenance of the facility.
Those expectations have immediately been surpassed.
The staff is energetic, compassionate and caring, top to bottom.
I feel fortunate that we chose 305 preferential to the other good places we researched.
