Amedisys Hospice Care

I highly recommend Amedisys for Hospice care! I am so grateful to be working with this company. What a wonderful, caring and extremely helpful staff. The office manager, Susan, is always available to help and answer questions. Robert, the Hospice Liaison, has gone out of his way offer help and to make sure that things are running smoothly for my mother and our family. Many thanks to Sandra, the Director/admissions nurse, Josie the Chaplain, and Jean, the Social Worker, as well as all the nurses, Eliana, Alaina, Arturo and others who have visited and been so patient when working with my mother. Each one has been exceptionally kind and helpful. A special thank you to the traveling nurse, Stephanie, for spending time getting to know my mother in a very short timeframe and trying to quickly assess the situation, to enable her to effectively communicate with my mother. I am so appreciative of the conversation that I had with Stephanie, where she went into detail about my mother's condition on the days that she saw her and then shared with me a great deal of information about Dementia/ Alzheimers patients which will help me and my family tremendously when caring for my mother.

Love all the staff and the care they gave my Dad words can’t express how much I appreciate all of you. BEWARE - this organization is not professional by any means. The ordering DR - Oncologist sent a request for Hospice, my brother in law PRIMARY diagnosis was Lymphoma - and secondary was heart congestion. Miriam and Samantha - Daniel all treated him for his heart - when I question the order and death it was his heart. How can an organization treat patient different than what the Oncologist ordered - treating his heart vs the lymphoma. Not to mention giving him doses and doses of Morphine an top it off with Ativan - which can be fatal for Heart issues. When Nurse Dan gave these meds to my Brother in law on Christmas around 6 pm, and left him slumped over on his side. The next morning we called the Hospice Nurse who said "he is in the same position I left him" what does that tell you - something isn't right. In the State of TX you can get an autopsy - however, if you have HOSPICE you loose that right. I will be contacting the Dr who referred this organization - BEWARE of your loved ones being cared for by this company.

My mother was put on Hospice for about 3 weeks and the nurses and staff were always there for her and us as well. Thank you yo all the staff for the great service you all provided. My Mom has since passed away but I would highly recommend Amesisys services to everyone.

We want to thank the Amedisys hospice care from the Ayala family for such an excellent care for Brayan Ayala & for all the support that was given to our family from La capeńana & Jean. And also we want to thank the nurse Samantha & Arturo for always answering our questions and being so compassionate we will be forever thankful.
