I would advise against using New Orleans Funeral and Cremation Services. My stepmother passed away on January 30, 2026, and we requested a simple cremation. The representative informed my father and me that the process would take approximately two weeks. However, after the coroner released the body to the funeral home on February 5th, errors with the paperwork, including an incorrect date on the death certificate, caused significant delays. The funeral home initially received the body on February 5th but then reported losing the paperwork, which led to further delays. It took 39 days from the coroner's release to finalize the cremation process, and we encountered unprofessional service when we called and visited the facility.

DO NOT USE THIS FUNERAL HOME!!!! Save urself the heartache. It's been almost 4 months since I paid to have my dad cremated. Something l was assured by them that only takes 3 weeks . During this time there wer issues with paperwork they not once made a phone call communicating what was wrong we had to keep calling them they literally made not 1 phone call to us. They literally just gave excuses after excuses and blamed everything ells for the delay. They are totally unprofessional especially the lady that answers the phone. Im honestly still gonna look into a lawsuit cause of the unneeded stress emotionally and financially. The neglect on there duties and breach of contract there's all kinds of stuff they are wrong for here. They also lie on there site saying there 24 hr service and there not so please I know its hard finding one when you dont have money to work with but I would rather pay more then to go threw what we did with them. ZERO stars....

This place is the worst place to send your loved ones. They don’t care. I waited three months for my husband to be cremated and sent to me. I live in Pennsylvania. They kept hanging up on me kept giving me excuses and they gave me a runaround so unprofessional I’m putting this out there if anybody wants to bury their loved ones or get them cream in it do not go there.

I cannot say enough good things about New Orleans Funeral & Cremation Service. Losing my dad was incredibly difficult, but Ms. Lillie and Ms. Tracy made the entire cremation process as smooth and comforting as possible. Their kindness, compassion, and professionalism were truly a blessing during such a challenging time. They guided us with care, answering every question with patience and ensuring every detail was handled with respect. If you’re looking for a team that genuinely cares and goes above and beyond, I wholeheartedly recommend New Orleans Funeral & Cremation Service.

I would honestly give them zero stars, but Google won’t let me.
I waited over a month and a half for my wife to be cremated. And it was three months before I got a death certificate.
Every time I called him, they had excuses. Especially the owner, Gary. He blamed every single person he could other than him or his staff.
I have reported Gary to the Louisiana embalmers and funeral directors board. And I encourage others who have had the same terrible experience to do the same.
And on a sidenote: This company is often seen flying banners behind planes, offering sales on cremation. Does it get any lower?
Ps: And Gary, I don’t need a response back from you on this either.
