The Dougy Center is an excellent resource for youth dealing with death. It's a warm inviting space, and the staff are compassionate.

The Dougy Center serves the community in such a meaningful and heartfelt way. Years ago my little family took advantage of this great community of people to help us through our sorrow and grief over the loss of a father/husband of only 37 years of age. My children were ages 9 and 7 and loved the experience; they talk about it still today. In fact, my oldest now works for this great organization and is thrilled to be doing so. To talk with parents that had struggling children in the grief process was a tremendous relief to me and I will never forget it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

This was an amazing resource for our family. Loss is difficult for anyone to navigate, and when we were suddenly raising a 4 year old relative who'd lost his entire family in a car crash we turned to the Dougy Center for help. The services he received were such a crucial part of his healing.
Now he is a healthy, happy 22 year old. I will forever be grateful for everything. Had he not received such powerful support and therapy I have no doubt he would be in a very different place in life.
If you have a child dealing with loss I cannot stress enough how important it is to get connected with the right support. This is a great place to start.
