Immaculate Conception Church

Travelers beware: It is not a friendly church. We are traveling to Florida and decided to go to 5 pm mass when my daughter got approached by a lady yelling at her for wearing jean shorts and a nice blue regular top. Two men were looking up and down at her. She yelled telling her she should be ashamed at what she’s wearing. We are faithful to our Catholic Church. I am proud she wanted to make sure we get to mass in our travelers. She felt uncomfortable and cried over the experience. We should be welcoming to any young teens, not trying to discourage them.

Immaculate Conception is a wonderful Parish. The priests are caring and the parishioners I have met are welcoming and friendly. One thing is concerning to me though. I have noticed that the servers must have been directed to kneel directly behind the lectern during certain parts of the Mass. As a result they cannot see the Altar or have to lean to the side in order to do so. With over 80 feet of space around the Altar, why are they directed to kneel where they cannot see the Priest offering Mass? The woman seemingly in charge of the servers did nothing about this when I mentioned the concern. Since I posted this, THE PARISH ADDRESSED THIS AND SERVERS NOW KNEEL IN FRONT OF THE ALTAR! Great to be in a Parish that is willing to listen to suggestions of parishioners!

Beautiful church with many Masses in different languages. English, Spanish, Portuguese.

I was a my home parish the minute i walked in so welcoming the grounds few beautiful and father Raphael is so funny and down to earth.... after years of living in the low country I've tried 3 of the catholic churches and I just didn't get that home church vibe that you look for but here I got it instantly!

I love this church. The priests are beyond nice and friendly. It's a beautiful peaceful catholic church. Office people are very nice as well. I always feel at peace here. My family loves it here.
