Compassionate and professional, Morton's Mortuary has handled both my mom and dad's burials with the utmost care. They have consistently offered kindness and support throughout the burial process of both parents. The team has been kind, humble and supportive to our family.Morton's is a historic family-owned business, founded by a Tuskegee Airman and his wife, a CT State Representative. Their son, Bob Morton, continues to provide compassionate care and service to all families. I highly recommend them.

Mr. Morton may have lost his empathetic touch. Communication seemed to be a challenge amongst his team and my family during the planning of my Grandmother’s funeral. Not sure if Morton was distracted by something going on in his own personal life or what but he didn’t seem very present during our interactions. Very transactional and also a bit forgetful. We were told we could do a private viewing for my great grandmother to spend time with her daughter the day before the public viewing. When the day came, we were told her body wasn’t ready and we couldn’t do it. The service had barely finished and Mr. Morton was quick to try to wheel my grandmother out of the church. The Pastor had to make a comment about not being finished with service quite yet. I asked if we could arrange a moment to see her one last time before cremation to which he replied that they were sending her to be cremated immediately after the funeral. She wasn’t cremated until about 5 days later. I will say the only positive was how GREAT of a job the makeup artist did. My grandmother looked PHENOMENAL! This is the last opportunity for families to see their loved ones. If he is feeling burned out or his heart just isn’t in it anymore, he should have an interim director take over. The experience could have been soo much better.

This was my first time handling something so emotional. Funerals are never easy, but I’m incredibly grateful for Morton's. Their care and professionalism brought comfort during a very difficult time, and everything went smoothly.

I would never go anywhere else. Bob Morton and his staff are truly caring and make sure all your concerns are addressed. Two of my sons were cared for by Morton's and both times the staff was caring and compassionate all the while delivering a professional service. Thank you all so very much.

It was such a pleasure doing business with Mr. Robert Morton. When I entered the funeral home I was scared, nervous and sad. I did not know what to say or even what to expect. I was trying to hide my emotions because I knew this was not the place to show my weakness, grief and sadness, however, Mr. Morton felt our sadness and the first thing that he did before meeting with us was to ask us if we mind him praying. I was very touched and immediately I felt strength through the power of prayer. Mr. Morton demonstrated all his fine qualities of being an excellent listener, one that cared for your finances and also for the grieving process. I have never met someone so easy to talk to even though this is his business and we know that most businesses are all about their money. This was not the case with Mr. Morton. He is very affordable and gives his best advice in what families would want to spend. It was up to us what we wanted to pay for a funeral without draining our pockets. Mr. Morton did an excellent job with making my sister look beautiful. He created a peaceful beautiful and private setting for the viewing before the funeral service. I appreciate his excellent service and I will never hesitate to refer Morton’s Mortuary to anyone that needs a funeral director. Thanks for everything Mr. Robert Morton. May God continue to use you to make the grieving process much less for all the families that you meet during their lowest moment.
