We had a great 4th of July celebration with my Mom who has been at Kokoro for 5 years. The new management is very engaging. I’m grateful for such a caring staff. It’s great to know my Mom is safe and keeping active.

Kokoro has been home for my mom the past two years and she peacefully passed away while being taken care by an excellent and caring team. The staff were amazing during her last few days; they made sure she was comfortable, clean and at peace. Their voices relaxed her and she knew she was in caring hands from staff who she saw everyday. The staff always encouraged her join the daily exercise sessions knowing it’s important for balance and strength. My mom arrived from being self sufficient using a walker to receiving more care as her strength decreased; she was 96. As transition occurred and she became more exposed to more risks, their medical team always consulted with us to increase care level so she would be safe. My mom’s studio apartment was the right size for her; spacious enough to move around and have a sitting area to read or watch TV. The overall facility allows residents to have walks inside, read in the book collection area, and socialize in lounge area. They assign residents to the dining table and make best effort to residents.

Staff are friendly and care for the residents with a smile.

Absolutely wonderful community! Very unique and interesting culture appropriate with Japantown setting.

My Dear friend is Here at Kokoro. I've been very pleased with the Staff. They have been very accommodating to the needs of my friend who is here. Regular schedules and on call help. Feel secure and Safe.
