It’s in Monument Circle, a neoclassical limestone monument of Indiana War Memorial. It showcases soldiers who died in the War with the Union, War with Spain etc.
You can go up the stairs, sit on it to people watch or make this a stop on your visit to the State Capitol.
There is a waterfall/fountain that makes any lazy afternoon worth relaxing, listening to the sound.

Historical and grand monument to honor Indiana veterans from the Revolutionary War during the Spanish American War. It only open during the weekends at winter time. And I think there's a fountain (not working now) and you can take elevator to the observatory deck.
The sculpture around is amazing. Nice art form and great memorable piece for the soldiers and sailors.

This was a beautiful historic monument. It was hard to get real close due to snow, but it is an awesome center piece to downtown Indianapolis. There are many historic buildings in this central city circle.

I brought two friends, one from Minneapolis, MN. It was my first daytime visit. What an awesome sight and it is the exact center of Indianapolis. Not many can say that. The experience was OUTSTANDING!!! The WOW factor for me was very high.

One of my favorite places growing up. Fun to visit during all seasons, especially Christmas! Several shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parking and traffic can be an issue, so be patient.
