Albert Einstein Memorial

Conveniently located near the National Mall, we discovered this by complete coincidence. The Albert Einstein Memorial is built outside the National Academy of Sciences on Constitution and 22nd. Park on the street. It's one of the lesser known memorials, we didn't see people while we were here. The memorial is entirely made of bronze and is climbable too. Meditate, take a break, take a couple selfies. It's bigger than it looks once you get up close. This particular memorial has a bunch of hidden gems - for example: step into the center of the celestial map and you can hear your echo. 🤯

I’d highly recommend beginning your monument tour here, then walking over to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and continuing on to the Lincoln Memorial. This route flows nicely and lets you ease into the experience before reaching the more crowded landmarks. A calm, meaningful spot that’s definitely worth a visit.
