80% of the staff is strangely condescending and disrespectful by default. I was referred to a shelter for social services and getting things situated with DC residency, and the staff which handles checking ins, saps their fingers, claps at and talks down to me and everyone. Mind you for my first few days, no one explained what to do and what to expect, but dare you have any questions and ask politely, expect them to talk to you like a dog or a 2 year old for the most part. I applaud the 1 or 2 staff members who aren’t as rude. I went here by mistake and didn’t realize there’s a much better shelter walking distance away, which is way more organized and security and check in staff done come off as people who get a rise talking down to men who need any assistance. They aren’t very friendly or civil, and seem like they just hired random girls who just want to collect a check.

This is the worst Shelter in Washington DC it is very dirty never cleans the rooms and there are infested animals this place doesn't give you blankets and pillows towels and the staff is very rude doesn't help others then if you inside the shelter with your bed and didn't check in they kick you out of the streets with your things think twice to come here there are other shelters can provide shelter and get help of anything.

They make up rules with papers that does not have any signatures or identification of who wrote so nobody takes the claim of what is being written

Need better service and staff towards the homeless I got off work got there @11:45 didn't get a bed until 1:45 on purpose because I had words with security but when I leave I need a lawyer to sue Catholic charities staff and security for violating Mental health and Homeless rights issues that taking place on the regular the whole shelter since in the District of Columbia needs better structure and function and then maybe it can be ran right firing caseworkers and some of the staff and most of there security team professional 50 is not professional at all
