Greater Washington Urban League

My experience with Greater Washington Urban League has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Staff members seem to come and go whenever they feel like it, often leaving early or being unavailable during normal business hours. There is little to no communication, and people are left waiting for months just to receive assistance that they were promised. There seems to be no sense of urgency or concern for the individuals and families depending on their services. When people reach out for help, they are often already going through difficult situations, and being ignored or constantly delayed only makes things worse. Leadership seriously needs to step up and improve the way this organization is being managed. The community deserves professionalism, accountability, and timely support not excuses and long waits.

The Greater Washington Urban League is a wonderful organization that truly cares about the community. The staff and representatives are always nice, welcoming, and very helpful. They take the time to listen, provide guidance, and make sure you feel supported. It’s clear they are committed to empowering people and making a positive impact in DC. I highly recommend this organization to anyone looking for resources, support, or community programs.

I always have great experiences with these guys. They have the best resources and throws the nicest parties for our children.

GWUL has been an incredible support system for me. They have helped me with finances, housing assistance, and access to other important resources when I truly needed it. The staff is caring, supportive, and knowledgeable, and they take the time to explain everything and make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Because of GWUL, I feel more stable and hopeful about my situation. I am truly grateful for the help and guidance they provide and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of support and resources.
