I am so impressed with Volunteer Alexandria’s programs. Snow Buddies—where they help senior citizens during snowstorms—is truly one of the loveliest initiatives in our community. We’ve participated in multiple pop-ups with Volunteer ALX, and every experience has been seamless. Their communication is top-notch, their staff is incredible, and the volunteers who help load us in and out are always so kind and helpful. Alexandria is lucky to have such a wonderful organization serving our community.

Volunteer Alexandria is the largest volunteer organization in Alexandria that I know about, and they have a wide range of opportunities/organizations in the area that you can support. Their web portal is easy to use to find opportunities and contact the volunteer managers to arrange service. The staff is friendly and helpful.
