Several times I’ve gone to clean my sisters headstone. Everytime it’s buried in grass and mud. This is completely negligent on the grounds keepers they continue to mow right over her headstone without a care in the world. I spend hours cleaning it up and polishing for the next month for it to be completely destroyed again. It’s obvious they’re mowing over her headstone leaving the grass. Get a mower, mow around. Have some respect. She’s in the older part of the cemetery so the must assume she doesn’t have visitors: she was place there in 88 and if I could have her move to a cemetery that is respectful to the graves I absolutely would.

My experience is only pertaining to the cemetery grounds itself. Tonight I called into EMG to see if dogs were allowed to walk in the cemetery, I spoke to a gal named Dee (who was absolutely lovely btw!) and she said yes of course they are allowed! I was very excited and with this cemetery only being a 12 min drive from me, my doggo and I hopped in the car and headed over that way. There is just something so serene and beautiful about this cemetery. The grounds are immaculate and well kept, there’s garbages everywhere so it’s convenient to put doggy bags where they need to go. (which I would never leave them on the grounds because that’s just down right disrespectful to the living, but also the deceased who are resting there) I did a wonderful stroll through the cemetery, admired the local murder of crows in the trees, and even did my Merlin bird app and there were SOOO many birds! It was very cool. It was a wonderful evening walking through these sacred and stunning grounds. You can tell they really care about the families who walk among this place who visit their loved ones and also those who are no longer with us, who have a peaceful and vibrant place to rest for eternity! Thank you kindly! 💕

This place is unreal. My sisters and I went through one of the most stressful, painful experiences of our lives dealing with Evergreen Memorial Gardens after the passing of our dad and trying to have our mom’s ashes released to us so they could be with his (what our parents wanted). Without going into every detail, what should have been a straightforward and compassionate process turned into weeks of confusion, delays, and runaround. It became so difficult that we were forced to hire an attorney just to obtain my mom’s ashes—something no family should ever have to do. Even then, the process dragged on, costing us around $8,000 before it was finally resolved. We stayed quiet for a long time. We didn’t post, didn’t complain publicly—we just tried to move forward. But today, exactly one year to the day after my dad’s passing, I received a voicemail from Evergreen Memorial Gardens asking if I’d be interested in preplanning services because they had “helped our family in the past.” That call was incredibly insensitive and brought everything back. After everything we went through, describing their involvement as “helpful” is beyond frustrating—it’s hurtful. Families deserve compassion, transparency, and respect during times like these. That was not our experience here.

I am writing this review on behalf of my sisters and I. It has taken us awhile to come to terms with what happened and feel prepared to write this review. We had a deeply disappointing experience with Evergreen Memorial Gardens regarding our parents’ arrangements. When our mother passed away in 2020, important details were missed and communication was extremely poor. Despite that, our father chose to continue with Evergreen because he and our mother had made pre-arrangements there. Before his unexpected passing last year, our father had decided to make changes to these arrangements. We contacted Evergreen so he could convey his wishes directly, but received no meaningful assistance. After his death—despite presenting a notarized document clearly stating his intentions—we were treated as though we were being dishonest. Evergreen’s President, Lindsay Fisher, was largely unavailable, unsympathetic, and at times condescending. We ultimately had to hire an attorney, at significant expense, just to ensure our parents’ wishes were honored. This caused unnecessary stress and heartache during an already painful time. Adding to the disappointment, staff attempted to sell us pre-arrangements for ourselves during a meeting just days after our father’s passing—an insult considering the distress we endured. We deeply regret placing our trust in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. We encourage others to seek a provider that demonstrates genuine compassion, clear communication, and professionalism when families are most in need of care and respect.

The staff was caring and kind during a difficult time. Having everything pre-paid made the process easier. There were some glitches when picking up the cremains and the prayer cards so the only suggestion would be for them to slow down. Other than that everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Evergreen.
