I had a great experience with this team. Taylor Bowman made a tough situation very easy. She answered all of my questions, made me feel more comfortable with my decisions and explained so well all while being so sweet!!!!

Heart of Hospice has been a blessing in our journey through hospice care. Every staff member we've encountered has been sympathetic, professional, and knowledgeable. Their compassion and ability to meet our needs (even before we know we have the need) has been next level. We are especially impressed with our nurse, Taylor. We cannot say enough good things about her ability to care of her patients . In addition, to going above and beyond for her patients, she has a heart for the families of her patients as well. We love her and consider her family! She is a jewel and an asset to the Heart of Hospice of Jackson team! We love you guys and thank you for your vocational ministry!

I love Taylor as a nurse!! She is very helpful and knows how to make someone feel comfortable. Very kind and well mannered and very supportive in the time she’s here. I hope that potentially she gets a raise because she is the most excellent nurse I have ever had!!!! She is spectacular and a true blessing!!

If I could give this company a ZERO, I could. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. This company was supposed to take care of my father when I brought him home from the hospital to pass but they ordered the wrong amount of oxygen, no supplies, no meds, no bed... NOTHING arrived before he was transported home to pass peacefully. I knew I would take him home to die but NOT to watch him suffer. I told one of their employees, I spoke with over the phone "I knew I would bring my dad home to die but not die like this"
Luckily, the ambulance ladies were kind enough to put him back into the ambulance on oxygen until the medical supply company went back to get more tanks, (which was still wrong) It was incredibly difficult. Even the ambulance ladies didn't want us to witness the nightmare that was about to happen.
Heart of Hospice just kept repeatedly calling me saying "this has never happened before" Ummmm, nobody cares when they are in the situation I was faced with. They were literally of ZERO service. A nurse came out about 2 hours after dad arrived home, stayed for maybe 15 min to tell me he was "transitioning". No kidding? The aggravation and lack of compassion during the most difficult time of my life was made entirely worse by this company. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
One last thing, they had EVERYONE within their company call me to offer the "this has never happened before" speech - so, if this happens again...don't call the relatives 13 times - we don't care! I finally said "I brought my dad home to die, but not like this and to stop calling me". HORRIBLE, AWFUL PLACE!!

Heart of Hospice was just what we needed during the decline of my sweet grandmothers health. I could not have asked for a better nurse than Yana Knight, she was AMAZING and so patient and kind with us. She answered any and all questions when we called and she was THERE whenever we called. She sat with us, prayed with/for us and cried with us. Chuncey McGowan was another nurse that we could call on, no matter what the hour was and she was there. My grandmother was surrounded by nothing but love and compassion during her final days with Heart of Hospice. We also had visits from their volunteer team, led by Shakena Bowie and they were constantly checking in with us to make sure all of her needs were met. I remember the day my grandmother transitioned, Shakena was one of the very first persons present and she just sat with us. She didn’t have to say much but she was THERE and she may never know just how much that meant to me. I would HIGHLY recommend Heart of Hospice to anyone who unfortunately may be dealing with this stage of life. They will honestly provide so much comfort and security. From the very bottom of my heart, I want to extend the biggest “THANK YOU” to each person that played a part in assisting my grandmother, Ms. Henry Lee Barnes, your kindness shall never be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Shanna Spann
