Cuban Friendship Urn

I have used the parking lot where this memorial is located, even before NPS installed the parking meters. But I always walked past the urn without much curiosity, it just seemed so much a part of the landscape. But now that I have taken the time to learn about it, I appreciate it more.

We are such good Cuban friends that we still have sanctions against them from like 70 years ago, God bless them and their friends' hips. Viva la Castro mi amigos/amigas

Located at the entrance of a random US Park Service parking lot Google has it located at : 971 Ohio Dr SW, Washington, DC 20024.

The coolest, friendliest, most Cuban urn I've ever visited. I stare at it for hours when I come to DC. Worth a 4 day trip to see the whole thing.

Not as exciting as the Cuban missile crisis but still cool. Probably a portkey to teleport wizards to another place. Not sure cause I didnt touch it. I didn’t want to leave my car for fear of getting ticketed. Parking is not free. You gotta urn it.
