Peace Monument

I’m especially grateful that it has remained the same and hasn’t been altered or damaged by the current regime. So many meaningful places lose their character over time, but this one has preserved its history, charm, and authenticity. You can truly feel the stories within its walls (or grounds), and that’s what makes it so powerful. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning again, it’s absolutely worth the trip. It’s a reminder of resilience, history, and the importance of preserving places that matter. I highly recommend taking the time to experience it for yourself.

The Peace Monument is a stunning and moving tribute tucked right near the Capitol. Its neoclassical design and powerful symbolism make it a must-see when exploring the National Mall. The intricate sculptures honoring naval deaths and the pursuit of peace are both beautiful and thought-provoking. It’s a peaceful spot to pause, reflect, and appreciate the history and sacrifice it represents. A hidden gem amid DC’s many iconic landmarks.

If you are visiting the capital, it is definitely worth stopping, checking out and photographing this monument. This monument is very detailed and overall a great piece of art and history.

I hope You don't mind, I dipped My head into the "Peace" Water for a bit of a refreshment. It was hot out. And, I had been walking all over D.C. that day. More People should come see this area.
