I just left this building and the middle aged red haired woman behind the register did not want to ring up any of my friends up (I didn’t purchase anything so I was waiting to the side) and made them all wait in line for the other cashier. It was not because she was too busy because someone else who came after us was helped by her immediately. My friend has had multiple rude experiences with her before now so it does seem to be personal on the employee’s end. If you can’t handle the presence of the younger generation without glaring at them their entire visit with suspicious eyes and mistreating them maybe start considering retirement.

Most definitely would not be going back! Worst customer service, assumed my youngest child was by himself so they decided it would be cute announce it over their intercom. (My mother is white with red hair so we look nothing alike when I look completely Hispanic) when he was actually with my mother. Then they made another announcement about kids not playing on the furniture not even 3 minutes after the first announcement. ( kids ages 4-6) kids will be kids, they was not jumping or playing on their furniture and when they was running around I corrected my children! I did bring this to their attention that it could have been handled differently instead of trying to feel like a big person and make an announcement. All she say in the end was “oh well “ she knew she was wrong she I told her my son was not alone across from the store when he was next to his grandmother. She tried lying in my face saying that wasn’t his grandmother. I left my stuff I was going to get and the shopping cart in the isle and left. A devil in disguise if you ask me.

I used to be a fan of the Social Services until lately they started to price things out like crazy! It supposed to be more affordable place for people in needs but not anymore! You’re welcome to go take a look at their prices now and l will definitely switch back to goodwill, thanks CATHOLIC Social services for your services

Review, take two. 😏 Because everything should be given the benefit of doubt, I decided I would make a random visit to this thrift store again. Because the people had been so kind and I do support the work that they do, felt it was unfair for me not to. On this visit, I am solo and earlier. It wasn't the weekend. There was a steady amount of people in and out and there were plenty of items available. I also took photos on this trip which will include blocking out people as they are not what I am photographing, the place is. ☺️ It was tidy and in well order as it was before. There folks do keep the shelves and aisles in good shape. There was a good variety of items as well. I will confess I didn't seek out the water closet/rest room- so I can't say speak to the state of this. It had been my daughter who had previously and she was not in attendance. Prices on furniture is consistently higher here than it is at Attic Treasures in Harlem GA or at the Salvation Army in Thomson GA. They DO have more of a selection and many seem to be real wood, antiqued, and project pieces which - with restoration and care- could make for real treasures. This would not be me saying that these prices are unreasonable. It would be me saying- if a person 'Needed' a kitchen table- not an antique- and PRICE and USE were the main point, go on out to Attic Treasure in Harlem and get a kitchen table for $30 or so- don't spend $200 on this one unless you want to. But hey, what a bargain- those matching oak chairs that'd go with that table- you could get those here. I saw a couch set here that my Mom had when I graduated high school. 😏 Made me feel very nostalgic. Her's was blue though. However, there'd be NO way I'd pay $250 for it. I graduated HS in 1988 when I was 17. I'm 53. 🥹 I wonder... what HAS that fabric seen in all these years..? 🤔 My guess... lots. Even if it led a quiet, peaceful life. And- I know what it cost brand new. Probably doesn't help, eh? 🫤 But.. (shrugs) IS it in good shape? I mean... sure..? For something you can't put in a washer 😆 I digress. I really enjoyed the selection of books. If a person liked to cook, there seemed a wide array of these available. There were plenty for children, educational, religious studies, and fiction as well. Of course many women's clothing. Not as many infant clothing. Lots for little girls. Of course, to be fair, little girl clothes are so cute- and if they were anything like mine, she never had any issues finding many adorable outfits to wear and she wasn't nearly as hard on clothing as my boys were. I lingered looking at baby things as I have a new grand-baby- a boy- and a dear friend's youngest, expecting a girl at the end of October. I was able to find a couple of girly sheets which I plan to send to her daughter as well as a baby body hammock thingy. They seem to be trendy things and my DIL loves her's. I was happy to find one there and I wasn't looking for it so it was a really pleasant surprise. ☺️ I was tickled that someone had donated fabrics. It was great to find old fabric which I can use to patch up some old quilts that I have been attempting to mend. There was a good selection of older fabric- much harder to find- and some cut already. Even better! As I have one quilt which these pieces can be directly used. They appear to be feed sack cloth. Amazing. 👍 I wandered around the 'fancy' section- but- truly- I dislike leaving my buggy away from me. Even if I have my purse with me. I really should remember to go to this section first- then I wouldn't have anything to fret over in a buggy, I suppose. 😆 I'll say 'Next time'- but Nah, I'll probably forget again and then not really browse that section again- unless my daughter is with me 😆 I did find a cute little reversible little boy jumper in the far section for my grandson that he'll probably fit next summer. When I checked out, the ladies were super friendly and kind. Funny, too. Very pleasant experience. This place is 100% worth visiting.
