I am pleased to recommend Stacey Romberg and her staff for legal work. I recently updated a will and power of attorney-type documents. Stacey and everyone in her office were excellent to work with: clear, everything done efficiently and on-time, and all were very friendly and positive. Estate planning is not something most of us look forward to, but Stacey made it an easy process for me.

I contacted Ms. Romberg to assist me with estate planning and preparing end of life documents following a recent negative experience with another attorney. Stacey's and her staff were patient, professional, and considerate. Unlike my previous experience, I had ample opportunity to converse with an attorney who took the time to understand my quesations, anticipate related issues, and provide me with answers to my complete satisfaction. My expereinces with her office was excellent. I highly recommend them.

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. After my husband passed away, I contacted Atty Stacey Romberg because I needed help navigating probate. I explained the entire situation clearly, including that Washington was our domicile, even though my husband passed away outside the state. She confidently told me she could handle the case and asked for $5,000 deposited into the IOLTA account to begin the process. Before hiring her, I had already spoken with another lawyer in Pierce County who said a $2,000 deposit would be sufficient to start the probate. When I mentioned this, Atty Romberg told me that $2,000 was not realistic and implied that the other lawyer did not understand the process. Trusting her advice, I paid the $5,000. However, after a month, no documents had been drafted and no meaningful progress had been made on my case. Instead, I was told that because of the “complexity” of the situation, I would need to pay another $5,000. At that point, I began to seriously question what was happening. I decided to terminate their services and reached out again to the first lawyer I had spoken to — Prudent Planning Legal in Puyallup. The difference was night and day. They processed the probate properly, handled the filings, and did not charge me upfront. They only billed me after the work was completed and I received the Letter of Administration from the court. Looking back, I regret not trusting my instincts the first time. I lost $5,000 with no documents produced, while another firm completed the entire process professionally and transparently. I cannot recommend this firm based on my experience.

Even though it took us, on our part, almost 8 months to get our will in place, it took Stacey and her team no time at all to get it ready to sign. They were so patient with our slowness. We appreciated that they were so thorough in reminding us of issues at end of life that we hadn't considered. Thanks Stacey and Team
