My husband was a resident in their memory care unit for almost 2years. I felt the need to provide him with private care in addition to staff on site. There were many staff members who left or were removed from employment including directors while we were there. There were staff that were caring and truly wanted the best for the residents unfortunately they did the majority of the work and care while others simply took their paycheck. I kept my husband there only because I was able to provide the additional level of care on my own. It is telling when a professional who provides services there tells you “ your husband is alive because you have your own people watching over him”. Facility needs a total make over and update to not only structure but to the level of care provided.

My family member has been at Brighton Gardens assisted living in WinstonSalem NC only for 2 weeks, but she is Very happy here. ALL of the staff here so far are very helpful, courteous, and cares for her the way she SHOULD be cared for. We are happy so far, in every way, with this establishment!

I helped a friend move to Sunrise. The food choices are good and the food is good. The place is very attractive. There are fresh flowers in the lobby and seasonal pillows in the seating area outside. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There are a variety of activities all day. We have been very pleased.

Sunrise made one of the biggest mistakes by letting go of Patricia Howard, their Manager She was truly a gift from God! The way she cared for my family and my aunt was absolutely priceless. Patricia went above and beyond every single day — always helping team members on the floor, responding right away whenever we needed anything, and showing real love for the residents. Even when the community was short-staffed, she worked hard and never complained. Her heart, knowledge, and dedication were unmatched. You could always count on her to listen, to care, and to make things happen. It’s heartbreaking to see someone like her gone. Sunrise corporate should really look at how much of a difference she made. Patricia Howard was truly one of the best things that ever happened to that building. She will be missed dearly!

Recently, my aunt had medical issues that affected her ability to be self-sufficient in her daily life and went so far as to disable her ability to walk. After researching several places in the area, Sunrise Brighton Gardens appeared to have the best outpatient rehabilitation services, as well as comfortable housing and competitive pricing. My aunt ended up residing at this facility for nearly 3 months. During this time, she made great friends, enjoyed the restaurant style dining with several options every meal. The staff was caring, supportive and welcoming. In the end, my aunt regained her independence and ability to walk. She is well enough to be back in her home but has stated that she wants to return to Sunrise if her health declines again. I can not say how thankful I am for this facility.
