St. Michael's Cemetery - Mausoleums/Cremation Niches

I would absolutely not recommend this cemetery. Compared to many other cemeteries in the area—even nearby ones—this is easily among the worst. There has been ongoing construction and maintenance work for years, yet the grounds still appear poorly maintained. The surrounding neighborhood is run-down and unclean, which only adds to the negative experience. The landscaping is disorganized, neglected, and generally looks like a mess. One of the biggest frustrations is the limited access. There is no way to enter the cemetery after the posted closing time of 5:00 PM, which is unreasonable during the summer when daylight lasts until well after 8:00 PM. The property is completely gated, with no pedestrian access available outside of business hours, making it difficult for families to visit their loved ones when it's most convenient. To make matters worse, the security staff seem more focused on being disruptive than helpful. Overall, I would strongly suggest looking at other cemeteries in the area before considering this one.

Very respectful and professional staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Well kept cemetary and great options with mausoleums and niches, but best to get clarity on the process and timeline for what you purchase, or you may be disappointed by delays.

I am extremely grateful to have found this cemetery. It's not easy to grieve for a loved one while also looking for a place for them to rest. However, Rosie helped and guided us through this very difficult time. She is an amazing person who works really well with families. She goes above and beyond to make families feel welcome and heard, and to meet all their needs and expectations. Thank you, Rosie. Never change that beautiful soul of yours. My family and I are very grateful for all you have done for us. For your information, they also take the time to celebrate. They do this during the holidays for our lossed loved ones. They always keep the cemetery clean too. We love and deeply miss you!!!

Coming from Brazil just to take a look at Costello's grave (and Astoria, by the way) I found this well-cared for cemetery with a beautiful scenery and too much peace. Not a single downside to my visit.
