Contacted multiple times for help finding a job for an autistic adult to no avail. The person who called would call Friday around 5:00 pm and be unavailable when I called back. They wouldn’t return my call until the flowing Friday. Did not answer emails. Felt like they followed up to cross a line on a paper and did not care about actually helping. Autistic adult is still underemployed and struggling.

Watch out for their truck drivers. They park illegally across multiple parking spots, and have poor awareness of their surroundings.
One of their drivers almost backed into my car, while backing illegally across multiple parking spots. There was zero reason to do this as the parking lot was wide open. He was just being lazy and trying to park close to a store entrance to pick up food.
The stopped reversing only when I laid on my horn non-stop and shouted at him to watch out. He stopped within one inch of my car. Had I not honked furiously and yelled, he would have bashed into the driver’s side of my car, which is where I was sitting. The driver then had the gall to get out, tell me he was in complete control, then called me a Karen and walked off.
Since when did it become ok to back into to cars, and when did someone trying to defend their property and body from imminent danger become a “Karen”? Is a clearly unqualified, negligent driver with no regard for other people’s safety the kind of person a “non-profit” organization employs? Well, I guess technically Northwest Center’s slogan of “people of all abilities” is accurate because you employed an incompetent driver.
This incident occurred around 12:30 PM, on September 21, 2025, near the Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the Bella Bottega Shopping Center, in Redmond, WA. Driver was a dark-haired, bearded, late 30s to 40s man of average height, with coke bottle glasses. Swarthy skin, possibly ethnic. With those glasses, he may have vision and depth perception issues, in addition to an attitude problem. Photos attached of the truck with its license plate and vehicle number.

Very difficult to find . No way to get a receipt. All the bins were labeled by category, but my donations weren’t sorted because I had no advance notice. Pissed and disappointed, as I drove far to reach this place, but left my boxes in the car

Not only does this place do awesome work in general, but they are very kind people to coordinate with! I made a big mistake and left my car keys in a bag I donated to a drop box and they were incredibly understanding and helpful with getting them back to me before I needed to leave for a trip. Really, really appreciated.Especially to Michael for coordinating and the driver who retrieved them!
