If I could give Miss. Ruby 0 ⭐️’s I would!!! Imagine going into this black establishment and spending over a thousand dollars on your mother in law’s funeral only for nothing to be delivered on the day of? How about every piece of flower was paid for 2 weeks in advance for only to get an apology and no phone call. I even paid extra money to get the color we wanted so yes May 14th, 2026 will never be forgotten but this customer will never be back again. The amazing staff at Ft Lincoln Funeral Home even went to the florist to pickup my order only to be sent with 2 wrist corsages!!! When I went in the next day for a refund I was told by Miss. Ruby bring me back my wrist corsages and you can get your full refund!!! I was beyond disappointed and at this point felt disrespected but I didn’t curse her out I did get them. I also had to wait to get my refund to be posted back on my card until the granddaughter came in that day. Let’s just I’m still waiting to go back on my card so please be aware of the florist I know she has been in business for a long time but to be burned like this is the ultimate form of DISRESPECT to the same people who have kept you in business this long.

As a loyal customer of Minnesota Ave Florist for over four decades, I have consistently been impressed by the exceptional service provided by Ms. Ruby, who always strives to deliver outstanding work within budget constraints. However, my experience in March 2025 was compromised by a delayed flower delivery for a funeral, despite assurances that the arrangement was en route. While the flowers eventually arrived and were beautiful, my subsequent experience in September 2025 was extremely disheartening. I ordered a casket spray for my brother's funeral, but it failed to arrive. The absence of flowers at the funeral was a distressing experience. As a result, I have made the difficult decision to discontinue my support for this local business.

I spoke to the owner Ruby, and I ordered $600 worth of flowers for a funeral. There was $36 for taxes and a $10 charge for a delivery fee. For a total of $646.
I ordered 50 carnation boutonnieres, and 3 carnation standing sprays. I told her that I would come the day before to get the flowers myself, but she assured me, and she swore and promised to deliver the flowers to the funeral home by 8:45am the next day, which was the day of the funeral.
I went the day before to get the boutonnieres and 1st thing wrong was they were ROSES and not CARNATIONS. I know roses cost more but I wanted the carnations that I asked for. We had to use them because it was too late to correct them because the funeral was the next morning. And many of those roses were already falling apart and she blamed me. I said lady, I just got here. How could I have made them bloom? Just nonsense.
I called her at 8:05am on the day of the funeral to confirm that she will still deliver by 8:45am and she said YES and that her delivery guy had 5 deliveries that day. I told her I don’t care who many deliveries he has as long as mine is there by 8:45am. The time was ticking and people were arriving.
At 8:45 I called her to check her ETA, and she had stopped taking my calls. Had to have my cousin call from her phone and she answered right away. THE FLOWERS NEVER ARRIVED!!! I was willing to forgive the boutonniere roses if the casket flowers had arrived but since they never came, I called her for my refund and today is one week later and I still don’t have my money back. She should have reached out to us apologizing and telling us that she is going to refund the money. I NEVER should have had to call her about my money.
So today, a week later, and I called the owner Ruby asking about my refund and she claims that she didn’t know how to give a refund and that she was looking for someone to help her to do it. She knew she was delivering to a funeral and she added so much more stress to an already stressful situation. Who has a funeral without flowers? Ruby is tacky and her professionalism is mediocre at best. At this point, I am taking her to small claims court. She needs to give me back my $646. Period.
Take my advice, take your business and your money elsewhere.

I am reporting this place to the better business bureau because they delivered my flowers late to the funeral and we're very unprofessional. My flowers were thrown on the floor because they delivered it with a stand that was broken. This was a horrible experience for a last goodbye. I am very disappointed the women on the phone has no empathy. And I will escalate this situation so no other families experience what we did. Take your money elsewhere this place doesnt deserve it.

If I could give a no star rating I would. Besides the flowers being delivered at 9:55 p.m. when my husband was told that they would arrive before noon for our anniversary the flowers look wilted after 3 days and not a full 72 hours since being delivered. My husband called several times throughout the day and was told that they were out for delivery. No wonder they're wilted. I've called to see if a refund or new arrangement can be sent but no one answers the phone. Don't spend your money here!
