Mess Hall

We had an event at Mess Hall recently and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. The team was incredibly helpful and accommodating and always responded quickly to our questions. We did some cooking onsite and they had all the equipment and storage we needed for our event. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an event space or commercial kitchen!

If I could give Al and the team more than 5 stars I would! We planned and celebrated our wedding and reception in April, and were able to host an event that let us focus on love, friends/family, and food! Whenever we needed suggestions or guidance, Al was available and willing to work through suggestions and provide referrals for some of our other vendors. The space is perfectly customizable for a wedding where the couple is the focus and not on a traditional wedding checklist. We felt listened to and supported throughout the year we spent planning, and would choose Mess Hall again and again. Al himself is a fantastic host, and kept up with me and my husband throughout the night, making sure we had enough to eat and drink (as the bride and groom often do not). If you're a couple looking for a non-traditional space to throw the best party with friends and family - this is the place for you!

Mess Hall was an unexpected and fantastic find for our wedding welcome event! It has a really cool and unique vibe, and we loved that it’s a food incubator supporting the local culinary scene (including some of our favorite restaurants!). Al was fantastic to work with - really friendly, always super responsive, and helpful with experience-based recommendations. He also provided a great list of partner Makers for us to consider for catering (we went with Magandia [Filipino/El Salvadorean]), and the coordination between us all was pretty seamless. The drinks package was very reasonably priced - and again, all local! The day-of support was awesome too: when we arrived, everything was fully set-up looking good and waiting for our last few decorations. Our guests raved about the vibe and it was the perfect setting to get the wedding weekend going. Highly recommend.

We had an exceptional wedding at the Mess Hall this summer and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, Al, Jordan, and the entire team were thoughtful, organized, and truly invested in making our vision come to life. Their preparation and planning were outstanding; from seamlessly connecting us with excellent vendors and caterers to offering creative, practical ideas for how to best use the space. Communication was always prompt, clear, and reassuring. On the wedding day itself, everything ran flawlessly. The venue’s industrial character paired beautifully with modern conveniences, and the flexibility of the space made the night unforgettable. We held our ceremony and dancing outside in the dock space, while the interior provided a comfortable, stylish space for dinner and for guests who wanted a break from the dance floor. The flow of the evening felt effortless. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and would choose the Mess Hall—and its incredible team—again without hesitation.

Hosted a wedding dance party at Mess Hall for ~180 friends and family. It was an absolute blast! Cannot fully express how absolutely wonderful Al, Jordan, Ashley, Marcus, and all the staff and vendors were to work with. So communicative and did everything they could to make our vision a reality. 11 out of 10, would host another event with them!
