Responsiveness to Call Light, especially when immediate assist to bathroom is negligible. Often difficulty understanding accents of foreign-national care givers, especially ones who choose to wear paper masks. Otherwise mostly capable and well meaning. Food choices and accouterments negligible. NOT conducive to weight maintenance or gain. Close to home, generally cheerful, wheelchair accessible facility. Seems somewhat understaffed but overall acceptable for my short term recovery. Staffing may have been affected by Holiday weekend.

My name is Robert Davis! I been staying at the Villages on MacArthur since 3-18-26. The staff is great from LaShunda-Adon, Regina- activity- Kayla and Renee- Medaide! They made sure I get my eye drops on time. All the night nurses in the Skilled Unit are Awesome. I like the food. This place have a lot patience with the residents.

Everyone was so kind and patient with me during my stay. Felicia and all the nurse aides were there for me when I needed assistance with anything including small things like a cup of ice or extra pillows and blankets making my stay more comfortable. Physical therapy had me feeling stronger each day and really cool machines to help with the recovery including a virtual tours spanning from U.S. cities to overseas and European cities. My favorite was pedaling in San Francisco along pier 39 in the Fisherman’s Wharf with Alcatraz island and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. They have a great team of occupational, voice and physical therapists. Housekeeping came daily to sweep, mop and emptying trash receptacles. The meals were always hot, delicious and different every day. I didn’t eat fish before my stay here and have since then changed my opinion about it. I know how silly it may sound but they always used real plates and silverware and everyone knocked before entering the room and those things make a difference in my opinion. I can’t elaborate how much they have invested in your experience here, it is not just a place where you are placed in a room and forgotten. Thank you Noel and Angela you have a wonderful staff and facility dedicated to helping people. The doctors and nurses made sure I didn’t miss any medication and worked with social services to complete my employer’s required documentation allowing me to focus on my recovery. I personally want to thank Donna and Erika from social services for helping make sure my employer got all the paperwork they needed during my recovery. I would recommend Villages on MacArthur to my friends and family members and to you should you need it. Susan the front desk receptionist brightens up everyone’s day with her smile as she greets you when you pass by and a sweetheart in activities will come to play card games like uno with you in your room during your stay. If you are looking for a good place for rehabilitation, keep looking. The rehab department Is the only good feature of this place. The haphazard operation otherwise is clearly not in the best interest of the patient. Read other review sites. Most spell out in detail why you should not consider coming here or placing your loved one here. Apparently, the state of Texas has no regulation regarding standards of rehab centers’ operation.
