Gil's Elegant Catering

Proof of the Pudding catered a very large order for a work event last week, and I was so so impressed with how everything turned out. We had 3 food options: dim sum, tacos, and sliders, and all three were equally delicious. As a vegetarian, I particularly loved the rajas tacos - so good!! I loved that we were able to have a veggie option for each station. We also had a dessert station with a huge variety of options, including little dessert shooters and cheesecake bites. You could see people carefully deciding which flavors they wanted to try because they all looked (and tasted) so good. The team was extremely professional and attentive to our guests, which truly made the event extra special. The set up was flawless, so while my team was running around trying to get everything finished on our end, we didn't ever have to worry about the food! Can't thank Courtney & her team enough! I did want to quickly also shoutout the Empire Room! I had the opportunity to tour it, and it was my first choice for our venue. It ended up being just a bit too small for the event we were hosting, but it's a gorgeous space and great location. Highly recommend both Proof of the Pudding & the Empire Room!!

We used Gil’s for our wedding and all I can say is WOW. Their level of service is unmatched and truly made our day special. The food was excellent and something that was extremely important to us as we’ve been to many weddings were the meal was subpar. From menu planning during our first tasting to wedding day itself, everything was cooked perfectly, served warmed and tasted incredible. For our meal we did passed appetizers and the buffet with a carving station that really elevated our event. We are still receiving compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was. We also used their bar services, but brought in our own alcohol. The serving staff was excellent and quick with getting beverages out to our guests. We chose Gil's for our wedding in Deep Ellum in May of 2024. Everything about the experience was executed to perfection. From the initial tasting, to the communication throughout the planning phase, to the execution on the wedding day, every detail was thought through and completed flawlessly. The food and drinks were delicious and Jackie and her crew made every effort to treat you like royalty throughout the night. We would highly recommend Gil's to anyone planning their wedding in the Dallas area.

We hired Gil’s Catering to cater my daughter’s wedding at Hickory Street Annex. Jackie was extremely helpful in planning our brunch menu and it was delicious! The catering staff was fantastic and provided great service to each of the guests. The on-site coordinator, Arturo, was calm and ensured that all our wishes for the day were fulfilled. Additionally, a few days later, I went to pick up the remaining alcohol for return and my car was too small. Arturo was onsite at HSA for another event, and he jumped into action, loading his car with the alcohol, and driving it back to the liquor store for me. Not only was the catering team and food fantastic, but they also treat their clients like gold. Shout out to Arturo for making my day!

Jackie with Gil's was amazing to work with, not only did she help us with every step of the way, she gave honest opinions on the menu and really helped guide us to make the best decisions! We had 3 action stations at our wedding and picked the mac n cheese bar, avocado bar, and carving station with salmon and sirloin. I had so many guests come up to me at the wedding and tell me how amazing the food was. Everything was so elegantly prepared and plated. Jackie helped me with the linen selection as well to make it a seamless process. Her staff is phenomenal to say the least, they make great drinks, help the guests, and do not miss a beat. We’re so lucky to have been able to with Gil's!
