Members of 4 generations of Greinke and Kerlin families are resting at Woodlawn Cemetery; including Arthur Kerlin who was the first casualty from Cudahy of World War I and the namesake of American Legion Post #16. Every Memorial Day since his internment at Woodlawn in the early 1920s, the Legionnaires have performed a morning ceremony at the graveside, including a benediction, laying of flowers and the playing of TAPS. In the early years they had a volley, 21 gun salute.
For Memorial Day, 1999, there was a graveside commentation of the 80th Anniversary of the founding of Legion Post #16. Then Congressman, Tom Barrett presented Arthur's medals, including his Purple Heart to the family, which in turn, given to the Post, was donated to the Cudahy Public Library for permanent display.

Jackie presented us with an option to pre-arrange for cemetery costs at the time of our future passing at an exceptional financial value. The process was seamless from start to finish. All details were clear and understandable.

I worked with Jackie in helping to pre plan my MIL burial at Woodlawn. She was very clear on the steps that needed to be taken, who does what, when etc and made it easy to understand. These are not usually "fun" conversations to have but she was kind and caring and made it pleasant and not uncomfortable. She's very knowledgeable and her contacts with Prasser-Kleczka made the entire process smooth. I'm very pleased and would recommend working with Woodlawn again!

Dignity assisted us in our funeral preplanning and they did so with such professionalism. They truly are a wonderful company to work with and assist in every need. We worked directly with Jackie and she is phenomenal. I would recommend them to everyone!

Michelle at Woodlawn Cemetery was very patient and understanding in helping me make the arrangements for my wife's funeral. I don't see how I could have been treated better. So many decisions have to be made at that time and she was able to pace the interview and allow me to work thru it with her guidance. I am grateful to her.
The other staff was professional and seemed to go out of their way to be similarly accommodating.
