My wife and I purchased our plots at Glen Abbey during the early 90’s but did not consider the funeral services back then. Knowing much better now the importance of being prepared, we have witnessed how Glenn Abbey fulfilled their services at several of my relatives funerals. We were impressed and decided to purchase the services for ourselves.

Although Bill was very professional I went with two stars because of two below points that I recommend to future customers: 1. Ask questions about the insurance premiums as they can be substantial/excessive - what is the criteria/bases for the charges and what is it covering; as CA state legislators are very concerned that they are considering certain limits for consumer protection. Funeral homes will state that this protects your investment from their self-preservation, but in reality we are paying for their uncertainty. 2. Recent changes to Glen Abbey’s policies, particularly regarding representations made during the original contract discussions, have created some discomfort. I bought my burial space/crypt many years ago where the Respresentative (Rep) stated that my burial space/crypt allows 4 persons (described as two coffins and 2 urns). Recently when I entered into my funeral services contract I was told that policy had changed and it was only 3 allowable persons per burial space. I would had preferred not to go back to the Rep (that sold me the burial space/crypt) for additional affirmation of prior statements, especially since the changes occurred without notification. Situations like this can unintentionally place Reps in a difficult position if prior understandings are no longer being honored. From a customer perspective, it can unfortunately create the appearance of inconsistency, lack of transparency, unethical or that Glenn Abby doesn’t care. Be careful with Glenn Abby changing policy without properly notifying customers. Demand your fourth person burial rights if you find yourself in the same circumstance.

We signed up with the Dignity pre-need funeral program for veterans with the assistance of Mr. Sergio De Leon. He is the kindest and most understanding of people who just seem born to do this type of job. Glenn Abbey is just a beautiful location. It and Mr. De Leon are both highly recommended.

I just want to say that Oscar Rodriguez was so kind & helpful. I was only in San Diego for a few hours & was having a hard time finding my grandparents’ lot. He quickly met us, was adamant about getting the in-ground vase opened, & even put in a request to have my grandparents’ name plate cleaned off. The amount of compassion he offered is unmatched. Thank you, Oscar for your exceptional service. The world would be a better place with more people like you!

Sebastian Osuna took over our existing contract with Glen Abby after not having the best communication with the first agent. He has Communicated every step of the way takes our calls at anytime, and it’s such a pleasure to work with someone who has so much compassion for families during the difficult time. He even went above and beyond to make sure that my grandfather had his date of passing after being missed by others added after years. Thank you so much for taking excellent care of our family.
